So I go to the polls to vote. The line was long but not that bad. 1/2 hour wait at most. I was wearing this shirt... As I neared the front of the line, some poll worker...the only one with basically nothing to do but tell you to get in line or where you can put your absentee drop off ballots...sees my shirt and walks up to me. He says to me in English with a foreign accent, "You can't wear a political shirt at the polls." I replied, pointing to the picture of the person on my shirt, "This guy isn't running for political office". I then went on to say, "Not only that but he's dead". He didn't argue with me. People in line in front of me and behind me got a good laugh out of it as did my Wife and I. Funny that the woman who gave me my ballot as well as several other people in line actually complimented me on my shirt before or without hearing what that idiot had to say. Maybe I should have worn my "No Snowflake" T shirt and that poll worker idiot might have taken heed and not said anything to me.
I don't get why you can't wear anything that supports the candidate that you vote for. I mean if I wanted to I could literally yell out the people I voted for and they couldn't do anything about it so what is the big deal about me wearing my Scott Walker thong?
Love how you saw some reason to post that the poll worker had a non English accent. Odd given the history of this country where not a small percent of our most important patriots had strong 'foreign accent' from the very founding of our nation. Baron von Steuben come at once to mind.
The six others who were working the polls---including the stand-by spanish language interpreter (Like a spanish language interpreter is needed in my town. LOL!)---had no foreign accent and not one of them had a problem with my shirt. One of them even complimented me on my cool shirt.
Actually your shirt was perfectly bi partisan considering how todays Republicans dislike Reagan and what he stood for....he is now a Liberal.
Todays Republicans do not dislike Reagan. That's just what the lib/prog/socialist/fake news and their sheep-like ilk want you to believe.
You aren't supposed to wear clothing supporting a political side not because you are any threat but others would take that opportunity (if its allowed) to swamp polling places to intimidate voters. Therefore they are all supposed to be completely neutral. I would have asked you to leave and change your shirt.
I suppose waving money around that had pictures of dead presidents on it would be inappropriate behavior in a polling place to you, right?
