Blue did well in the House and the Suburbs and Cities, Red did well in the Senate and Rural America. New America vs. Old America.

Trump hurt red candidates for the House, was an asset for the blue in the Senate.

Investigations of Trump now begin, and the race for 2020 kicks off.

Hasn’t the investigation been going on for quite a while now? You want to start more? Maybe his dog is guilty of licking its own ass incorrectly;)

The party in the White House normally loses seats during the mid terms.....nothing new here except the GOP gained Senate seats.

    Economy has been great
    House controls the purse strings
    Dems now control House
    Economy will inevitably worsen
Trump will blame Dems for the economy worsening
    Trump easily wins 2020!

Silly joker. The Dem House investigations will begin on Trump.

Trump cost the red the House.

It's not bout the economy. It's about healthcare.

    Mark my words.

'Course they will. It's not like the lame duck House can pass legislaion. While the (D)'s drool over Trump's old tax returns, the country will be governed by EO. Expect a gov't shut down over the budget, and slews of stop gap spending bills to cover House members salaries. Big win for (D)'s ...

It's not like Trump's agenda in Congress is going anwhere.

The EOs will be challenged in court just as were Obama's.

Trump will be kept in check.

Expect nothing to change on immigration. That, like abortion, are wedge issues for the red.

    With power comes responsibility.

The electorate is going to reach a saturation point with regards to the never ending investigations. Dems could turn off voters if the blowhards taking over the committee chairs launch into more witch hunts.

I think the electorate are anxious to see governing rather than never ending warfare.

Good point, ocean515. The House investigations of Clinton certainly did not help the country or the parties. Now the Dems will return the favor.

As long as the economy remains superficially okay, you're right.

Medicare for ALL is absolutely essential.

But if the economy visibly falters, it'll be all about the economy again.

Yes ... I'm sure the SCOTUS will strip the president of his executive authority. Just like the liberal leaning SCOTUS did when they rejected Trump's travel ban. :roflol:

I have no doubt Schiffty and Fetid Waters will be going hyperbolic with their predicted chair positions. And I have no doubt the President will be using the power of his office, and the SCOTUS if that becomes an appropriate recourse, to counter the Dems predictable overreach.

At the end of the day, the Blue Wave was more ripple, and that doesn't represent a mandate. Misplay that hand, and continue with the non-stop aggressive attacks and calls for physical confrontation, and 2020 may be a pipe dream for Dems if the electorate gets fed up with it.

Alas. But it will ultimately sink slimebag Schiff's ship, so a silver lining.

The Mueller investigation didn't start until six months in, which Trump arrgantly brought on himself.

The House and Senate "investigations" have been little more than jokes (particularly Nunes' lickspittle act).

Much of the serial corruption in the Trump Administration has not excited the curiosity of the GOP leadership at all. They looked the other way when Ryan Zinke handed a no bid contract to rebuilt Puerto Rico's electrical grid to his friend's two man company,. The are looking the other way as the Trump administration gives away the mineral rights to federal lands at fire sale prices (shades of Teapot Dome). They look the other way as Trump soaks the taxpayers for his own personal gain. They looked the other way at the collusion between the Trump campaign and Russian intelligence (don't even bother trying to deny it). They looked the other way...,,,,,,

Guys like Nunez, Jordan and Gohmert have been blocking any real investigation into Trump and his sleazy administration. Now that’s over.

Republicans only hurt themselves with endless Clinton investigations and it will be interesting to see if Democrats learn from history or repeat it
