There is this fellow who I see about, from time to time. He has limited brain function, and is often seen out begging. Although I'm told he has a lucrative side job shoplifting for hire, but then it just might be his mindless bragging.

He is a story of racism gone wrong. He saw a White woman in the arms of a Black man, which infuriated him. As the story goes, he wasn't mad at the Black man, but rather at the woman. He started in on the woman, telling her how she didn't have to degrade herself by being with a Black man. There was a group of Black men, standing by, who weren't too happy with what they heard.

When the dust had settled, the fellow ended up with permanent brain damage, and still had to serve a prison term. Now he pursues the only career path open to him.

 

So are you saying that you are okay if a corporation goes into a small country, and by corrupting their government, exploit the land and people?

Did you not know that this is what the caravan of people, coming from Central America, are fleeing from?

 

You'd be surprised how many like the abuse.

No the people are leaving because they've heard they can get goverment benefits and a better life in the US. Their own country is also dangerous with a corrupt government. Not everything is the fault of the US.

Freedom of speech isn’t a complete absolute in schools, folks need to know this. If you thought your kids can just walk up to the premises and do or say what they want with no repercussions then there’s a rude awakening coming.

The Union had slaves before, during, and after the civil war. The Union didn’t give a crap about slavery really. They weren’t fighting to end it, they were fighting to preserve the Union. The emancipation proclamation “freed” slaves in a foreign country, and did nothing for the slaves in the Union.

And while Jim Crow laws were mainly in the southern states, the northern states had some too:

Kentucky(a slave holding Union state until the 13th was ratified) had full on segregation from public accommodations, to miscongenation laws, etc. Quite a few had segregation on the railroads as well.

you don't get to decide what is offensive to others or to what degree same as I don't get to decide
so if it is offensive to wear a confederate flag and shouldn't be done because it is offensive then the same goes for kneeling during that anthem or burning the American flag
but you will defend kneeling and burning the flag and use the first amendment to justify it but all that gets thrown out the window when it is speech you disagree with

 

That is what those that wear that flag are doing. Holding on to that hate.
