California bar shooting leaves 12 dead, including sheriff's sergeant

 

I'm sure he would have been just as effective with a knife or a spoon, after all, we all know perfectly well that firearms had absolutely nothing to do with this or any other event that involves firearms.

I'm sure all the hopes and prayers will resurrect the folks who have lost their lives, because there's clearly nothing we can do about our nations gun fetish.

 

Looks like one of Don Lemon's white guys has gone pop again.

 

Yet another massacre by one of the MILLIONS of LEGAL GUN OWNERS who really should not be trusted with a butter knife.

 

All you right wingers should be happy knowing you protected his and every other mass murderers right to slaughter.

 

Did anyone elese notice it happened at the BorderLine bar and grill??

has there been any discussion the name of the bar may have had something to do with the motivation??

College students listening to country music?? This does not sound good

 

It would be empty speculation. I'm content to leave it to the police to investigate.

 

It is a shame that drinking beer in a bar can end up in termination of your existence

Or attending a country music show in LV, or going to a nightclub in Miami or going to school or going... nvm, you get it.

All I know is this guy had issues that probably, under a sensible system, should have easily disqualified him from being able to own a firearm.

I'm tired of the 2nd Amendment being used to justify giving anyone and everyone who hasn't already killed someone all the firepower they want. Time and again, that gamble gets multiple innocent people killed as a consequence. Many people are suffering and dying because of outdated legislation and a long cultural and legal tradition based on it. Most areas of life, we are able to enact modern laws to protect our society as times and technologies change and advance, but gun ownership remains a tragic exception.

 

Gosh, remember the last mass rocking? Me either.

 

Many of those involved in this attack also survived the Las Vegas massacre.

 

Another mass shooting due to incompetent security........they were totally unprepared. But then......that's California.

And........SIX....yes SIX off-duty cops in the crowd and NOT ONE was carrying his service weapon. But then.....that's California.

A hundred people in the crowd and NOT ONE was carrying a concealed weapon.

But then.......that's California.

Even just a little proactive preparation (one intelligent person) could have prevented the tragedy.

But it's human nature to always believe it will happen to somebody else.

People should learn from this and do better.

 

You do realize this happened in the state with the strictest gun laws in the US, right?

If the oppressive gun laws had any actual EFFECT......the thugs would be afraid to bring guns in from other states.

Oppressive gun laws harm only the good citizen.

 

Country music never sounds good.

 

They do have an actual effect. Take a look at any developed nation with more stringent gun laws.

They have reduced rates of and death by firearm per capita, lower incidents of suicide and firearms are less likely to be used in the commission of other crimes. The evidence simply isn't on your side here.

 

Comparing the U.S. with other "developed nations" is not valid. We are unique in our high population, heavy multiculturalism, history of slavery and our long tradition of gun ownership in conquering such a large area.

The evidence is not on your side......you have none.

 

Ahh, how convenient that any evidence that might tarnish your anti-factual position is "invalid" - cute.

So all of that is relevant, but having more guns than citizens isn't. Okay.
