You’re screaming and crying about the scary evil Muslims for nothing. You don’t have any priorities you have a complex, an unwanted one at that.

I'm guessing you were being facetious when asking why it took the dems so long and aren't in agreement with them?

Back in the 1970s Bella Abzug spoke in Congressional hearings with her hat on.

It is an idiotic and arcane rule that should be changed.

If there is a campaign to be waged, rights to be defended, freedom and choice to be accentuated, it should that of the liberation of our sisters in the world . What ensnares and holds them back is an enemy. Any system that oppresses them must fall.
Wear symbols of that movement in the Congress of the United States.

OK, I'll bite. How is it moving the goal posts to mention that the Bible has some horrendous passages in response to someone pointing out that the Quran has some horrendous passages?

allowing anyone to wear religious garb on the floor of congress is a promotion of that religion and shouldn't be allowed
telling how liberals will forget all about their obsessive campaign against religion being allowed in the public square unless it is Islam of coarse

No, only football helmets and all must be alike. I think that only NY giant helmets be allowed.

I tend to agree with that. All religious clothing and symbols are IMO superstitious nonsense and all should be banned from congress - heck I'd even extend that to government buildings. That would also include religious symbols like stars of David, crosses and whatnot worn as jewellery. It would be more tricky to determine whether or not someone is wearing religious undergarments but I'd do away with those too.

I suspect that liberals would also fight to allow a Jewish man to wear his yarmulke and a Sikh to wear his turban or patka. I'm not sure whether there are some Christian religious sects which require members to wear headgear, but I wouldn't be shocked to find liberals fighting to allow those to be worn too.
