You think leftwingers were the only people with their feet in the clouds. Trump is pushing a $30b wall while he hardly goes after employers hiring illegals.

    Trump can't change legislation unilaterally.

Whatever all that means. How about doing the ID card as a priority? We could then see how much "wall" we need. The beauty of the ID card is that it's retroactive. Not so with the wall.

Could it be the Bloviator-in-Chief you support doesn't really want to get rid of the maids cleaning his hotel rooms?

So, why isn't Trump pushing for what we really need?

Do you expect illegals to voluntarily turn themselves into government officials and risk deportation?

Otherwise, nothing changes. People working on stolen identities or under the table continue with no interruptions.

Meanwhile, more illegals, criminals, drugs, and terrorists pour into the country.

He is pushing for a great deal on the 1st step.

I don't know if he plans to push for more later or not, but what he's pushing for are the things that need to happen 1st.

no, a national ID card as has been noted, a crackdown on hiring illegals are all things that can be done quicker and more effective.

The Dems start squawking- you throw the at least you can't complain that we don't want the poor to vote. Now they have the card and all barriers are removed.

No, I expect employers like President Motormouth LardBucket to stop hiring illegals or risk spending time in an orange jumpsuit.
Why are you excusing the Bloviator-in-Chief for not going after employers hiring illegals? Why is he hiring them?

Give Mexico the biggest GDP in the country? What would the red states do without the welfare?

If you'd think more and hate less you might notice that Trump has outperformed the last Democrat POTUS in every military and economic measure, and was elected oven an opponent that doubled his spending and had the MSM in her pocket.

If Trump's so bad, what does that say about The people you prefer?

When 'Bama and Mississippi need money they lean on Cali. Cali puts more money in than they take out. The loser states are mostly red. Welfare trash.

Not counting Texas and Florida, California has more welfare recipients than every southern red state combined.

Asking about one's citizenship is considered discrimination on the basis of national identity.
Legallly residency is established by the mere intent to remain in a given place indefinitely, but administratively it depends on regulations, usually continuous presence for a year with the intent to remain.

It would do exactly what it's designed to do - and is certainly cheaper than establishing an entire government department complete with infrastructure and a massive number of staff just to counter opportunistic law-breakers who are illegally attempting to enter your country? You're advocating an ongoing multi- million dollar 'sledgehammer-to-crack-a-walnut' approach which a wall, physical or electronic, would render totally unnecessary. Just get on and build the bloody thing??

I'm not going to answer the question of whether or not we need one... but there are some civil liberties issues... and I will point out we wouldn't have needed one 40 years ago. So let's ask ourselves what changed.

(Once again, the problems caused by the Left taking away our civil liberties?)
