Can you believe he said this about undocumented persons.... “Illegal immigration is wrong, plain and simple… People who enter the United States without our permission are illegal aliens and illegal aliens should not be treated the same as people who entered the U.S. legally.” Ooh, oops. It was cryin' Chucky Schumer who said that. I guess partisanship is more important than patriotism these days.
https://www.foxnews.com/opinion/ned...overnment-until-we-fix-our-immigration-system In 2006, Chuck Schumer, along with Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama and Joe Biden, voted for the funding of the Yuma Sector Wall, which after being built decreased the crossings in that sector by over 90 percent. But that was then. This is now. Now the hard-left open border-types have seized control of the Democratic Party. No one in leadership can be seen voting for building a wall: it would be sacrilegious to the left and potentially a career-ending move. Never mind the fact that in so doing the Democratic Party leadership has demonstrated very clearly it’s not interested in prioritizing the interests of the American taxpayer.
Hell, almost all the Democrats parroted that illegals are not allowed entry since they are illegals and legals have been waiting patiently.
Wish we could give back most of the fifty percent of Mexico total land that we took at bayonet point illegally from Mexico in order to created more slave states so there would no longer be any problem with Mexicans crossing our 'border' illegally to work on 'our' farms and provide other needed labor that US citizens are for the most part unwilling to do. Of course we could always repeal the 13 amendment and bring back slavery so we could force our black citizens to once more do the work that the Mexicans are currently doing.
That's effectively what we're doing by allowing illegal labor in the first place. Americans WILL do those jobs, just not at the current wages these quasi-slaves will. Eliminating the quasi-slaves will force farmers to raise wages or go out of business. If that results in more expensive strawberries, so be it.
Sorry but you could not paid Americans an amount enough to do that labor without pricing the farmers out of the market and resulting in the moving of the growing of those crops south of our border.
James K. Polk was a democrat but that was a great war that he ginned up, and then the US beat the hell out of the Mexicans, took territory, and kept territory. Winning.
What I struggle with is this fact. It was in the late 1940s that I was taken to land in the San Joaquin Valley that had a cotton crop on it. I might be able to show the exact property. Anyway, his kids and myself chopped cotton. it was planted before I got there. I was not there at harvest time. But I learned in the 5th grade how to sharpen the cotton chopping hoe and use it on weeds. We removed weeds when we were not in school. I never saw a black nor a Mexican in the field with us. We all were essentially Okies. My cousins mostly were born in Oklahoma but I was first generation in Ca. Some of my cousins younger than I am were born in CA too. We never spotted any of those low wage workers. We worked for minimum wages. My uncle was employed by the farm owner. I recall two Minneapolis Moline Tractors parked on the land but we kids could not drive them. My uncle took care of the tractors. One of my cousins was perhaps 12 at the time but I never saw him driving either. So where were the Mexicans? Well surely we went to school with them. But none of the kids I met at school were Mexicans. I think I was living at Hayward, CA when I first spotted any Mexicans. They lived in the city limits. Let's see if I can locate that farm. I found the land. I know it is the property due to the dry river bed under the bridge on the road 168. I traced to it from the elementary school. I once attended. I realize the land now has trees. Small trees at that. But if you look back maybe 150 feet my uncle had two large Army tents on the property and one was the kitchen and the other used for bedroom space. Down the present road are several trees. Around those trees i believe it was. https://www.google.com/maps/place/W...e765450678e7a!8m2!3d36.0891515!4d-119.1967785
If ever there was a war against Mexico that our president started, that was the one. Look at all the land Polk Grabbed. I am living today on land he grabbed from the mexicans.
Very interesting that they voted for this, I didn't know that before. If walls don't work, then why did they agree to a wall in 2006? Has Trump confronted them with this? Perhaps he doesn't even know about their 2006 vote. Yes, considering that the Democratic Party released an internal memo which said that the dreamers are "a critical component of the Democratic Party’s future electoral success!" https://dailycaller.com/2018/01/08/leaked-memo-dreamers-are-critical-to-dems-future-electoral-success/
All they give a damn about is seeking power, no matter how they gain it. Funny, they have walls around THEIR extravagant houses!
If they are held to the law, then they have none. They are not citizens. It is when politicians ignore the law to allow them illegal entry, that they have higher privileges. Think of you robbing a bank. You are never forgiven. They enter and get forgiven.
The author of that article says that Trump "should shut down the southern border." What the hell does that mean? Shut down as in remove Border Patrol?
