You could be correct..... obviously that is what P. M. Justin Trudeau's advisors are thinking but........ there are signs that this time around this movement could be very, very serious!

Let Californians decide what to do, let Alberta decide what it wants to do. If Alberta wants to leave Canada and become its own nation, then let it.

"Would Americans be willing to trade California for Alberta?"

    how about we trade Texas?

don't be silly, we would no more trade a majority left vs a majority right state

We Canadians are facing a problem that cannot be solved here in Canada but it could be very seriously addressed in either California....... or Texas!
    http://www.politicalforum.com/index...ten-cms-3-or-4-inches-could-high-tide.543690/

If average ocean levels rose by eight to ten cms (3 or 4 inches) could high tide...

... rise by one meter in the Isthmus of Chignecto in Nova Scotia, Canada?
This question is logical because the geography of Canada's Bay of Fundy produces the world's highest tides. In my part of Nova Scotia in Guysborough County there is very little funnelling of tidal waters......... so high tide is only about one to one point five meters above low tide.

In the eastern area of the Bay of Fundy high tide levels are up by ten to fifteen meters.

I would sure love to see an actual discussion begin on this because this would sure set up some people to more seriously consider this option:

Do you basically like my Alternative Wall Plus Theory

    1. I suppose it has advantages over a carbon tax.

Which brings us to this option:

You can't solve all the problems by cutting up countries along political divides. You have to look at the economic and social factors that led to those divides in the first place.
If you ignore that, you can cut up regions into different countries along political divides, and they are just (eventually) going to fragment again.

No, I say deport all the Mexicans back to Mexico and keep California. Socio-political historians say that with an ethnic similarity as close as Canada & the US are that unification is inevitable at some point.

A big ,brawling, story of big, brawling, people in the big, brawling plains. Lots of young girls with big brawls, all of whom love HORSES far more than their piddling menfolk (I wonder why)

Yet more tales of Cliche Ranching, though this time in Canada, eh?

And Dennis, my boy, please don't EVER change.

That being said, and with all due respect, I have to note that this time you have finally qualified yourself as crazier than a batshit rat in a cathouse.

Get rid of California??, son, peruse this:

We ARE LA. America is part of California, not the other way round

It's amazing to me how sending people back to where they came from is the equivalent in leftists' minds of herding them into gas chambers. There's absolutely no similarity there. On the other hand, there IS a similarity between what is happening now with Mexicans trying to displace white people on American land with what happened in Texas, when white people displaced Mexicans from their land, and instead of becoming Mexicans, they declared independence, and then joined the US.
