Seems we should make as much as we can out of plant matter.. It locks up carbon Steel takes burning ore with coal..makes CO2.. weighs a lot.. recycled steel is less energy intense than fresh?? The Steel Lobby will not want paper hatas and spatulas Aluminum is intense.. burn fuel to exctract ore.. similar to steel without the coal being required I believe.. Aluminum production requires HUGE amounts of electricity because the process involves electrolysis to plate aluminum on electrodes. The new hemp law is great news. It is a versatile fiber that can replace lots of our current need for plastics, among other things.
