Even if the wall kept out all but the able bodies that could climb a 25ft ladder, go thru razor wire and come back down another 25ft ladder without falling. The wall would pay for itself.

There are multiple things wrong with your post

First and foremost, your post has no source, no reasoning or method for coming to such a conclusion. It's simply numbers put in front of us that we're supposed to fill in the blank for. Second, your post leaves no explanation whatsoever for how a wall would be effective at reducing any of these unnamed expenses

Keep in mind that visa overstays out number illegal border crossings

    https://www.statesman.com/news/2018...stays-account-for-most-immigration-violations

Also keep in mind that some of the methods that drug traffickers use includes boats, submarines, tunnels, airplanes, drones, catapults, and the most common of all, driving directly through points of entry

    https://www.usatoday.com/story/news...t-trump-border-wall-drug-smuggling/619865001/

There has yet to be a rational argument presented by anyone for how a wall would be effective at reducing any of this. We know the expenses of the wall, yet no one seems to be able to explain how the wall would pay for itself. It's just a scapegoat for the fact that US tax payers are the ones paying for the project, and not Mexico

The only thing wrong with my post is you can't figure out where a graphic comes from. Anyone's 5 year old grandson can do that........https://fairus.org/sites/default/files/images/economic-impact-illegal-immigrants_1.jpg

At this time one only needs to go 100 yards down and cross the border from a legal entry point. After the wall is up they will need to climb a 30ft ladder, navigate through razor wire and other wall top deterrents then climb down another 30ft ladder without falling. You really think some 60 year old will be doing that on a regular basis? Right now illegals cost us......

The wall will pay for itself in health, education, welfare and law enforcement costs.

Yes, most illegal aliens in the US are visa overstays, they enter lawfully, don’t renew and remain illegally. Lack of adequate enforcement is the problem, partly due to inadequate resources and partly due to policies and practices in sanctuary jurisdictions.

This is a significant problem conservatives tend to exaggerate. Not renewing a visa is an administrative infraction, not a criminal act. The renewal process is cumbersome and slow, difficult to understand. Any change in the visa-holder’s situation is supposed to be reported, many changes affect the validity of their visa, but some changes are very common; change of address, job, marriages and births.
The wall would reduce, but not eliminate abuses, there’d be fewer illegals receiving public assistance, less unlawfully present children in public schools, illegals using public transportation, in emergency rooms, perpetrating crimes...
The wall pays for itself by reducing the volume of illegals present. The calculation is simple; some portion of the illegals present have crossed unlawfully and a portion of those do receive public assistance and make use of other government benefits -savings from not providing that assistance and those benefits would pay for the wall.

Conservatives contend these saved costs in assistance and benefits would be much greater than critics of the wall think. Critics believe most illegals avoid seeking assistance and benefits for fear of deportation and that they make more significant fiscal contributions.

All of this can be intelligently debated, there are good resources, statistics and data on both sides of the issue. The Pew Hispanic Center has solid data tracked for decades, we’ve got good estimates of the millions of known illegals, we know their low income establishes eligibility for assistance and benefits, we know the proportion of marriages and births and that these quality for entitlement.

11 million done. Up to 70 billion to go. This is why the libertarian ideal of volunteer tax-paying doesn't work.

Nothing, but anyone already deported wouldn't be able to come back that way. Criminal aliens would have to brave climbing the fence.

The lie that illegal immigration is at record levels - it ain't - and the fact that the fools supporting the GoFundMe campaign for the wall are painfully ignorant of how our government actually works.

Yep, and the law says you can't force the government to build the wall with private donations any more than you can use GoFundMe to make the Navy build an aircraft carrier they didn't plan to build. Congress must authorize it.

Please read the effin' manual. You're embarrassing yourself...

Have you been hiding or could it be when you have your hear up your rear you miss things. This wall has been authorized by congress for decades.

I guess what they say is true. Some people are so stupid they don't even know they are stupid.

All money donated to the Treasury goes towards paying the National Debt unless directed otherwise by Congress.

    1) Do you think Pelosi is gonna allow that in the House? Or will she demand the law be followed with a large smile on her face and dare the GOP to disagree?

    2) Do you think Republicans - who have been clutching their pearls over deficits and debt - have the huevos to even suggest otherwise?

You and reality seriously need to patch up your differences.
