Since I am the OP I feel uniquely qualified to comment on the premise of the OP. I found it simultaneously humerous and inciteful that two crooks were suddenly surrounded by armed citizens. Humerous in the aspect of can you imagine the shock these two punks felt when they suddenly had six men pointing guns at them? Inciteful in that I was amazed that many guys had concealed carry weapons at the same time in the same place and we're willing to pull them. This has to send a message to potential bad guys and even potential mass shooters that this may not be the part of town you want to ply your illegal trade or live out your twisted fantasy. In the long run this action by these six men could save lives and property.

 

I have two high intensity headlights, three high intensity tail lights on the bike, a good helmet, and wear a roadworkers' bright yellow shirt with reflective tape on it rather than a cool looking jersey -- and use all that in the daytime.

Still, when I get on the bike I know it's a damn good day to die and be dead. Damn good day to die.

And I do it anyway, because it is enjoyable and one hell of a good workout in the outdoors, and the country roads are beautiful. Death is beautiful and we must embrace it. It's raining today so maybe something else is actively gonna kill me.

 

For starters many people own guns both for hunting and personal safety and guns are safe when used responsibly. Would you take cars from everyone because some people drive drunk?
