Tell me about it! I'm a Brit and we have one as our prime minister; and even with Blair and Cameron in mind, the woman is the worst prime minister we've ever had. With a few historical exceptions they're too emotional and accommodating to have the cut and thrust needed for the job - I mean witness the ongoing Brexit farce, and how the Bureaucrats of Brussels all laugh behind her back every effing time she prostrates herself before them with the begging bowl. That I 'would' doink her is a different conversation than if I were in love with her, which I'm not. If I were in love with her, or vice versa, that'd screw up the friendship. As it is, we get together for lunch every couple of weeks and it's cool. Not a big deal.

 

Oh well then, you can't get up to any mischief in a restaurant. But I'm surprised you obviously have so much in common to sustain a long-term friendship though.

I typically avoid having women as friends because I have a happy 27 year marriage to the most beautiful woman on the planet and don't want to screw it up. My wife trusts me for this reason and doesn't bat an eye if I take my dispatcher to lunch at times. I try to invite a second person as a "chaperone" to keep office gossip from taking hold, but sometimes it's just the 2 of us for lunch. She is young enough to be my daughter and not nearly as attractive as my wife, so that helps. She is married to a firefighter and has 2 kids, so neither of us have any incentive to cheat. I like to take care of my dispatcher because she makes my work schedule. Otherwise, I avoid being alone with a woman like the plague. The women I know are friends of my wife, wives of my friends, or family.

 

I had many attractive female friends. One was a penthouse pet. Several actresses. Just has to be an understanding from the start, that no physicality, made clear by either party.

She schedules jobs for about 20 field engineers over about 1/4 of the US. She handles incoming emergency calls and dispatches us to the site. We work on Uninterruptible Power Supplies at customer sites. She determines who gets the good or crappy jobs. I take her Starbucks when I drop by the office to grease the wheels.

I had a chance to watch the videos in the OP. The first one says it all. Women don't understand just how hard wired sex is in the male brain and how we obsess about it. Some people control it or hide it very well and I'm sure women are this way to some extent, but it took years for my wife to realize this about men in general based on living with me and doing things with other couples. As our marriage has progressed and we get more comfortable with each other, the truth comes out more and more. She notices more quickly now if someone flirts with her.

The all seem to be missing the FWB option. Lots of people have sex who are just friends. And plenty of married people are friends but don't have sex anymore.

They can... if women accept that their male friends would like to have sex with them and if men accept that they probably won't get to have sex with their female friends.

Women are evolutionarily programmed for monogamy. Men arent. There are rare exceptions both ways, and we can always suppress our programming, but its still there.
