The penny plan was introduced by Rand Paul and Mark Sanford. It is a well thought out idea that the democrats screamed like stuck pigs over because it decreased their INCREASE.

All professional politicians benefit from increasing government spending.
It was apparently difficult for the FF to imagine a professional American political class.

Why not cut entitlements to the poor?

What good does it do to toss good money down the worthless pit they are?

It has nothing to do with Christianity, this nation has been pouring billions down that pit for four decades and still has nothing positive to show for it or from it.

Te they could reconciliation bills can’t change discretionary spending. Cutting 1 percent across the board deals with discretionary spending. Again, obviously you don’t know how the senate works

show me where it says it CAN'T be used for discretionary spending.

Where is the prohibition on discretionary spending in the reconciliation process? Please point it out to me.

Change in timing of payments means that it still exists, but wasn't reported in the one specific month you want to discuss.

Stop with the common sense ;)

The fact that you have to explain this to anyone is what really scares me. But by the same token, it enlightens me to those we are debating

The OP is explicitly about a bad thing happening because of Trump.

The Trump tax cuts did not pay for themselves. Federal revenue is off more than 5% the baseline.

Have your head buried so far in the sand that you are willing to say anything and believe anything in defense of trump.

The deficit going up to record numbers is a bad thing...but only when the Republicans are out of power.
