    Well, even though this is behind a firewall, there's plenty of other reporting on it.

    Here is one:

    "The FBI opened both a criminal and counterintelligence investigation into President Donald Trump after the firing of then-director of the FBI James Comey, The New York Times reported in a bombshell report Friday.

    According to the Times, investigators also wanted to know if Trump was “knowingly working for Russia or had unwittingly fallen under Moscow’s influence.”

    I pretty much expected Trumpsters to avoid this story like plague.

    But I am a bit suprised that the rest of the world hasn't commented on it yet.

    Maybe because it doesn't really come as a surprise.

    Of course, the Clown Prince has had a lot to say about it. Folks can take that or leave it.

    Just shows the bias of the FBI at the time.

    I'm not shocked at all thank god most in charge are long gone now.

    Comey is complete scum; an insect.

    Trump fired him.

    The FBI retaliated.

    Many more should lose their jobs.

    But not Trump - he did nothing wrong.

    You're right, it doesn't come as a surprise that the FBI launched an invalid investigation on hearsay. That's because we knew it already. This is them trying to cover up the egg. But you can't cover up egg once you get hit with it. In reality, we need a new organization to replace the FBI. That will likely come after Trump's term when its politically feasible to do so.

    The FBI has lost all credibility. It is full of political hacks and is nothing more than another arm of the DNC. They need to scrap the whole thing and start over.

    I like how Comey has blamed the criticism of the FBI by calling Trump a 'mafia boss'. That perfectly describes in a nutshell the reaction to the 2016 elections. This has been a perfect demonstration to children on avoiding responsibility and why you wouldn't want to raise your kid this way.

    I definitely don't miss seeing pallets of cash shipped to terrorist.

    John Kerry even admitted that some of that money would wind up in the hands of terrorist.

    And Comey said at the time the investigation was opened, there was no evidence for that conspiracy theory. This continues to be an investigation in search of a crime. And Mueller had no business being appointed to head the investigation, since he was rejected by Trump for FBI head the day before. A clear conflict.

    The cash went to a country that even Obama's own State Dept called a state sponsor of terrorism. You can't make this stuff up.
