None of which are guaranteed to work, and by the way pepper spray, tear gas and TASER's can be deadly and at other times ineffective, you can pepper spray (MACE) me and it will have almost no effect, I discovered that by accident in the academy.

As such I can only guess if you had a 19 year old daughter, you would prefer she get beat senseless and who knows what else, versus killing the perp without even getting within the danger zone.
