    Health care for all (Medicare for all) would be cheaper and better. It would replace the convoluted socialist system we have now with a simple more efficient socialist system. Then we could require published prices and higher copays until we had capitalistic price and quality controls.

    better idea... everybody stop paying taxes all at once, in unison, what will 'they' do, lock us all up, heck theres no room in prisons as it is... then before we send them any money they have to say where it'll be spent, giving us the opertunity to say "nah, not getting my moola for that crapola" next...

    Bring on Medicare for all. It will hasten the collapse of the federal government.

    I'm good with my health plan. Thanks anyway.
    Let me ask you this: How is it "cheaper and better"?

    That's the idea. Bankrupt America, Punish it's people, and fundamentally transform America into a global socialist police state.

    When Democrats say Medicare for all the really mean all. Like anyone and everyone who manages to make it here can have healthcare paid for by evil racist Americans.

    The main reason I support "Essential Care For All" is to reduce our corporate health care expenses.

    For anyone's info, some of our foreign subsidiaries are contributing less than $150 a month per employee towards health care, due to the fact their primary health care systems are mainly funded by corporate and income tax revenues, thus, said subsidiaries are contributing nearly the same monthly premiums I'm contributing;

    My premium contributions; $130
    My employer's premium contributions; $523

    Average annual employer-sponsored health plan cost per employee;

    U.S . $9,000
    Foreign subsidiary 1...….$1,752
    Foreign subsidiary 2...…..$1,680
    Foreign subsidiary 3...…..$1,420

    In addition, our foreign subsidiaries have several other employee benefits Corporate USA generally can't afford, and that's because we're paying damn too much for health care.

    Since I've been promoted to upper management, several times I've been asked to cut cost due to the low price of oil, and Trump's steel and aluminum tariffs,
    and one expense I would gladly reduce is health care.

    increase corperate welfare... you must be jokin... if your employees aren't worth a 523 premium, get rid of them and hire better people, or perhaps cut the top echelons fat by 10% to cover costs... they wont miss it 'cept for their greed

    If you are sincere about your wish to lower healthcare premium costs, you should meet with your broker...there are several options, like ASO, that would immediately trim that fat.

    But if Washington fails and there's revolution, the socialist structure will be gone. That's a good thing.

    They will fight for the goodies they have been deprived. History shows that there are far more takers than there are contributors. One way or the other they will try to take America from us . They are hoping we just vote to give up our country.

    Norway has how many people? 5 million?

    That system would never work in a diverse nation of 330 million where everyone is out to cheat the system.

    You could be correct in your statement but first, you have to figure out what to do with all the people employed in the medical insurance business and then the number of doctors that would immediately retire with no one following them into high stress lower paying jobs. Oh, then there is the high cost of education to anyone who is dumb enough to enter that field knowing their income will forever be controlled by the government. There is a good reason there are so many practicing physicians currently in the US from other countries that have universal healthcare..

    As a pragmatic matter, we have the proven paradigm of multiple advanced nations who have arrived at a formula that covers everyone at considerably lower cost. However, we have vested middle men for whom our inefficient, exorbitant approach is a bloated cash cow, as well as ideologues for whom the successful model is anathema to their dogma.

    How many Americans are now covered by a single-payer inclusive plan? 55,000,000 - and that the most costly demographic. Incrementally lowering the eligibility age for the extant US single-payer system would introduce lower-cost demographics into the risk pool, and the inherent advantages of economy of scale would also be advantaged.

    Why would any rational person be hidebound to what is, by far, the most expensive system on earth that fails to cover tens of millions whose inflated medical expenses are routinely dumped on the taxpayer?

    You don't need Medicare for all to get published prices.

    The Feds would just keep printing up greenbacks anyway like they did for eight years during the Obama administration to prop up Obama's economy.

    Most people are.

    We have millions of able-bodied people receiving disability payments. Scamming the system is the American way.

    posting them is as fruitless as having calories posted on every menu at 'take out' slop joints... people still go there...

    that said, does anyone really want that kind of competition at their hospital or doctor's office? we will end up with third rate, third world morons slicing & dicing us up with little to no knowledge nor care as to what they do... has anyone taken notice of the low-quality yet cheap to own garbage we all buy everyday, nothing lasts, has 'built-in' obsolescence, all due to so-called competition... i don't need that bs from my medical pro's...

    for those that can't afford it, there are plenty of 'clinics' on wheels that you can to go to
