Col. Pat Laing, a former Green Beret and CIA type asks the question that must be on many people's minds. Why doesn;t he get rid of people in his administration that seem to spend their time frustrating his stated aims and policies. In an earlier post Laing lamented that though Trump appointed Bolton, and yet despite Bolton's recent statement that appeared to countermand Trump stated policy of withdrawing US troops from Syria, hasn't been sacked. In this post he wonders in regard to the Wall if the Neocons, the Israeli's, the Brits and Russia have something "juicy" on him that hinders free movement? Trump is a salesman...current foreign policy is not his.... the only thing that may be his is the wall. Re the Kurds, it would be a mistake for the Kurds to rush into any agreement with Assad, nothing is as it seems or at least the US withdrawal certainly isn't, they need to pay attention to what Pompeo is saying.
I have thought the same thing. Obama politicized everything even getting rid of a record number of generals so he could turn our military into a social experiment. Why doesn't Trump completely clean house and get rid of every Obama operative?

Trump is likely the most compromised President in history. It isn't so much of who has compromising info on his as it is who doesn't? Truly a shame that there are people who see this yet still support him as if none of it is his fault.

Having never been to that part of the world, and therefore knowing precious little of the cultural differences between the Kurds and the Syrians, I can imagine that some sort of new deal might be worked out with Assad so that a home for the Kurds may be found in northeast Syria. Can a functional Kurdistan be established today? It would offer a peaceful resolution that all might be interested in.
I agree that would be ideal, however if you asked me what I think will happen then I believe the Israelis, US and Saudi's would absolutely not want this to occur unless Iran withdraws from Syria (and Turkey agrees not to attack the Kurds). If Iran remains they are more likely to use north eastern Syria as a wedge against Iran.... (just a personal opinion)
Can you name an administration that didn't hire people that followed the president's will? lol That is kind of their job. President: "So if I hire you will you do your best to fulfill all of the tasks I give you"? Applicant: "Absolutely not sir, I do not like you or believe in your policies". President: "Fantastic, you are hired". Hahahaha It doesn't work like that lefties.
Lol ... Compare the number of people which were hired and fired by Trump during the last 2 years with those of the last 10 Presidents. Trump is holding a huge record here! Any questions? What Trump wants are asslickers around him with no will or own opinion putting above his will! If Trump says taht 1+1=3, then he wants no one around him who tells him he is wrong!
