Dems on TV cry crocodile tears for laid off government workers as they party it up in the tropics. Why aren't they at work trying to hammer out a deal?

So a trip to Puerto Rico by a new congress - scheduled months before the shutdown - is just a party weekend? You might want to check sources other than the right wing to learn about the discussions. PR is a REAL national crisis that is being ignored...

"The fact that we as Congress have approved tens of billions of dollars and then a small, small amount of that money has actually been approved and actually has arrived in Puerto Rico is shocking," Cárdenas said. "And that, in my opinion, has continued to contribute to the demise of Puerto Rico's economy, to the death toll in Puerto Rico."

"I'll be proud to shutdown the government!" Trump

I'm going to keep reminding you of this simple fact whenever you lot try to muddy the waters.

Why the 100+ lobbyists? Why couldn't they do this vital work in Washington where the money comes from? Why did they take their families with them? Why was everything free?

What he didn't consider is that politics is not the business world. There's so much more selfishness in politics than there is in business. In Trump Tower, he's used to calling the shots and what he says goes. In Politics, you have to deal with Pelosi and Schumer, and even if you give them everything on a silver platter, there's no guarantee they agree.

Hell, there's no guarantee they even send you a BILL to vote on. The outcomes of the Obama/Trump presidencies show clearly that the legislature still has substantial power, and that the executive is a figurehead.

The timing is brilliant... Nearly a foot of snow in the DC area and Donnie and Mitchy seem content with THEIR administration shutting this sucker down...

I don't know when they are coming back, but I wouldn't rush.... although the airports are open and the sun is shining...

Also, throwing some bucks to the PR economy AND thinking of Trump walking around the WH in his bunny slippers because he has nobody to insult?? It's a win-win-win...

Yeah getting drinks delivered to you by a bikini clad waitress as you sun bathe on a beach looks like they are really working hard on a crisis in PR. There's kind of a crisis in DC they should be home attending to don't ya think?

You know, the corrupt Puerto Rican government cannot be saved with US dollar bills(something that Cardenas probably doesn't comprehend.) It's making me rethink the whole territory thing. Why is Puerto Rico a US territory? The same thing for the Island coastal territories. I'm going to be much more 'cruel' than Trump: They want their autonomy, they can have it. All of it. Renounce possessions of all territories in Latin America. That'll save us money for Trump's wall and then some.

According to the Congressional Hispanic Caucus' BOLD PAC 2019 Winter Retreat memo, there will be 109 lobbyists and corporate executives at the event, which comes to 3.6 lobbyists for every Democrat. They include lobbyists from several big K Street firms, Amazon, Comcast, Verizon, MIcrosoft, Intel, R.J. Reynolds, Facebook, PhRMA and some unions such as the National Education Association.

Today's forecast at the CHC BOLD PAC Winter Retreat in Puerto Rico:

High of 83 degrees and raining money...

Why would Democrats vacation in a shithole place like Puerto Rico ???

Even Nancy Pelosi isn't that stupid and chose to vacation in a 5 star resort in Hawaii.

I think he's saying the shutdown in DC is a crisis. Dems don't care I guess, it's not a crisis that the Government is shutdown.

Oh... that... I figure since Trump now has the record for longest shutdown, he'd take some steps to end it, but he might want to set the bar high enough that it cannot be reached by future administrations...

The crisis of the government shutdown is directly related to the fake crisis at the border....

    Knee deep in irony...

Crisis in DC is government shutdown that Dems are not negotiating on in favor of beach fun in the tropics with bikini clad waitresses as per video in OP.
