Castro seems like the sort of candidate who will be lost in the ether before the field is whittled down to 2 or 3.

    Way TOO EARLY to speculate.

It is way too early to rule anything (or anybody) in or out.

    But, I will say this:

    1) Warren has ZERO Chance at the Dem Nom.

    2) No one can discount the possibility of a "Wild Card" (like Michelle Obama, etc.) entering the race.

    3) If Biden chooses to run, he will be the Favorite and very hard to beat for the Nomination (unless the "Progressives" decide to back one candidate early, and avoid splitting the Anti-Biden vote).

    4) If there are 2 or 3 "Anti-Biden" candidates, Biden will keep piling up delegates (by winning with pluralities) and be impossible to stop.

    5) If Biden doesn't run, it will be wide open. (In that scenario, Beto could be formidable with unlimited money).

    Once again, way too early.

Wow you really learn great from your leader by calling people stupid names. Nothing like a five-year-old worshipping a seven-year-old

We will break 40 democratic names

I heard something about Mia Love running against Trump

I would highly recommend not backing Trump if you are able to have conscience intelligent thought.. Trump is Charles Manson in the White House

Castro seems like the kind of guy who will get lost in the ether of a crowded field (much like Walker for the GOP in '16).

I thought John Edwards was the best feces ever.. Boy I blew that one.. maybe even sucked balls

Democrats have the mentality to get out of the box.. But they are afraid of doing it.

If he remains the only Texan he might win Texas.
If he remains the only Hispanic he might win Nevada.
With an early California vote-probably creating a superduper Tuesday in February, he's counting on a Hispanic vote to give him many delegates, maybe a win in a crowded field.
He's hoping his ethnicity will have a big impact in Hispanic-rich states like Florida and New York.
If no black candidate joins the field he'll try to scoop up all ethnic minorities. That could nearly sweep the south.
Getting northern blacks would be much harder, but if Obama endorses him some states are winnable there too.
Can you name the Hispanic who will obliterate those hopes? If not, 2 Hispanics makes this an even battle for the middle of the field and one might limp to the finish line in second or third place.
Can you name the white candidate who could dominate the Hispanic vote and drive him out with a big loss in Nevada?
If not, he makes it to Super Tuesday and carries at least 300 delegates to the convention. That could matter.
Politically the odds are steep against him. No former or current cabinet member has made it since Hoover, no former Mayor since Coolidge.
He represents the Obama administration so this is a referendum on whether Obama did a good job. Do Democrats really think he did good?
It barely matters, but does he stand for anything?
Jeff Glor officially told him not to run the other night, so don't expect any network news reports about his speeches or any interviews. Will they6 even put him on the next poll or at the first debate?

I have nothing against him, I just don't see him among the last few standing heading into Super Tuesday.

He is eloquent enough. Certainly light years more eloquent than Scott Walker.

I was using the Walker comparison more in terms of how I see the dynamic of the race playing out.

Biden will likely be the Dem nom. He's stupid, easy to mold (for the rich Dem elitists) and he fears big money makers.

    He's perfect for the Dems.

Remember how much people loved Hillary? They'd love biden even more because he's got fewer balls than Hillary.

    Biden could've won last time.

Almost anybody (but Hillary) could've beaten Trump.

Obviously, Hillary's nomination was a mistake.

    Her baggage proved fatal.

In 2020, once again, Trump is beatable (by any number of candidates).

Trump is beatable by a Republican. He could be primaried out.

The issue the left has is the same they did in 2016. They are more focused on Trump than they are their own leadership.

massive rural counties in key states is how Trump won, and he will win them again. The Dems can keep campaigning in states they are already going to win...that doesn't concern anyone.

The Dems just need to hold serve and win back MI, WI, and PA.

    That is very doable.

Why are you so focused on a gender rather than a resume?

If Amy can raise $100 Million for the Primary, she might make it to the final group.

I am reg'd dem and voted for Larry Hogan for Gov of Maryland.. He is a picture perfect Republican.. His most difficult characteristic is being a cancer survivor and folks think he will die..I would love to see Larry oppose Trump.. He always has...

I like Kasich the most in 2016.. But he seems as screwy and tainted as Bernie to me now. Jeb Bush must be thinking about it.. but he really really sucks

I want candidates with few ties to the corporate world and will wear a yellow vest for the 99%.. Warren and Biden are corporate prostitutes in my eyes

They may be able to put RBG's brain in a box and she could become immortal.. But she is a hell of a cancer fighter.. That is not real EZ to do.. I am afraid we may lose her soon.

What does one's gender have to do with their ability to be the Commander in Chief?
