The world is in flux and who knows what will happen as a result.

You earlier stated your opposition to Trump was based on your fear he would destroy pax americana which is pertaining to peace and stability. When I ask for examples of Trump doing this you transitioned to economics and trade policy.

 

The Pax Americana resulted from military and economic supremacy.
China is now supplanting the US its role as world leader.

He is trying to reverse china's custom of stealing intellectual property, and adjusting the balance of trade which is in China's favour.
He is also withdrawing America from its' position of world leader by cuddling up to former enemies, repulsing previous allies, giving NATO the flick and not listening to his advisors who are better informed than he is about military and diplomatic stuff.

 

And this is a threat to Pax Americana how?

It was an obama policy to lead from behind and he was led by the world into libya. How'd that work out? Trump on the other hand is once again out in the lead and his success with NK is an example of that leadership.

 

Maybe because they are afraid it will divert the flow of migrants that had been heading to the U.S. to all start flowing into Canada instead?

Then they might not be able to maintain such a welcoming open doors policy anymore.

 

We will now have a Pax Sinica because the US is relinquishing its' position as world leader and China is taking the place of the US.
