I had to adjust the title to make it fit (if a moderator can adjust, please do). https://www.cnn.com/2019/01/16/politics/trump-workers-essential-furlough/index.html It is interesting how republicans like to think that government is non-essential and then - when the federal courts stop handling cases, food inspections stop happening, and the tax returns need to be processed - they realize that government employees are needed for our society to function properly. It reminds me of the South Park episode when Cartman bought a theme park because he wanted to avoid lines. He ended up filling the park with attendees in order to pay for all of the **** that goes along with a theme park and had to wait in even longer lines. One thing that the government has not done, but should, is shut down the national parks. By leaving them open, we are allowing damage that may not be possible to repair. Another thing that should happen is that Trump should delay his State of the Union or deliver it in writing.
This order is coming from someone whose first job was property manager for his dad's property company making 200,000/year. Trump was 3 at the time. Meanwhile, the typical federal employee has missed $5,000 in pay thus far. It's about time for the TSA to go on strike.
It's the Dems who are keeping the government shut down. The Dims are on vacation. If the TSA goes on strike, is that a win for you?
Why does Trump refuse to fund the agencies of the government which are wholly unrelated to the border?
Good delivery. Sounds straight from the play book. The unwilling pot is calling the unwilling kettle black.
