I am not concerned about your displeasure over Brett Kavanaugh being appointed to the SC. I felt the same way about Sotomayor and Kagan. The deplorable and disgusting behavior here is that of the MSM who reported falsely. The boys did nothing wrong. But of course when Trump Derangement Syndrome takes control of the collective mind of the left it is perfectly justified to recommend physical violence toward some innocent high school students who attended the right to life march and were waiting for a bus to pick them up. What happened in this incident is now obvious to any honest person.

The problem is, when you're deeply political, there is a tendency for your passions to govern your reason, and distort your judgement.
That's why you should always wait three days before weighing in on something like this.

It may be that many people on the Left are now too far gone to care about truth. They have adopted the classic fascist and communist attitude towards facts: a true one is what helps my cause. A certain kind of depraved intellectual tries to justify this as 'the Higher Truth'.

There are probably many decent liberals who, while not rushing to join the baying mobs, are afraid to been seen defending the hated Right ... and so remain silent. Too bad.

But ... people on the Right (of which I am one) must guard against a kind of reflex-response infection, which would be to think: our side never lies, our side never 'mobs' people, our side doesn't have any hateful lying bigots on it, all future stories like this one will just be Mainstream Media propagating the lies of the radical Left.

Sorry, but there have been 'Catholic mobs'. There are white racist bigots -- and I mean real, genuine, racists, not the fantasy-racists of the Left's imagination -- on the Right. Not all Jew-haters are on the Left. (If your personal definition of 'the Right' excludes such people, fine, but they exist and they sure don't think of themselves as on the Left.)

And there has been rightwing 'fake news', no question.

It may be the case, as the US slides toward complete moral chaos, that only some people on the Right continue to uphold honesty in political struggle.

That's too bad if it's the case, but if that's the way it has to be, that's the way it has to be.

In other words ... don't let us become like them.

 

The difference here is that many on the right did condemn the "actions" of the boys based on the edited video and false testimony of the Indian activist beating his drum and made no mention of the Black Hebrew Israelites. There was no one on the left who stated to hold off judgment until all the facts were known. Now that all the facts are known it is telling to see who has the integrity to place all the blame where it belongs.
