I wonder if we aren't seeing the hostile foreign efforts ramp up again right now, with the fake Twitter account that was caught blasting this story with an incomplete video and, more recently, the BuzzFeed incident. That is twice that news outlets appear to have been punked, and each time it allows the "Fake News!" chanters (including POTUS, of course) to pipe up and attack our media, further eroding American trust in the media and further leaving us with no factual truth that we can agree and find common ground on. Even after the efforts in 2015-16 were revealed, we're still falling for the same schtick. The Russians are still pushing for an American revolution to install a pro-Russian dictator (Trump, the Moscow asset).

Well, some have spoken out.

The media creates a false narrative by not doing their homework and other media outlets pick it up. They also post it on social media and then the fun begins. Doxxing by well known people, death threats to the kids and families, one family has had to move out of their house, the school has had to shut down.

After that some of the media try to use different tactics like showing that picture of the blackout game (they have blueout, Hawaiian, etc., games where they try to intimidate the other side) as proof they are racists.

Then the media pundits start deleting their tweets when the truth comes out but by then it is too late.

 

Turns out according to one of the mothers that Phillips first started to target her daughter but her daughter was so freaked out that it would not make a good news story.
