    I don't suppose that it has occurred to anyone that he could easily ask the president of the Senate to offer his chamber... Can you imagine all the congress critter then having to pop a squat on the carpet? Surely, we could remove hours of hand clapping....

    Late Tuesday, Rep. Paul C. Broun (R-Ga.) called for Boehner to not invite Obama to deliver the State of the Union.


    Sure looks like a name to me.

    Better yet, he should rent out Nationals Park. And give the speech in the freezing winter and make the congress come to him and sit in the bleachers....

    I just can't wait. Nancy will have to endure non ending television coverage of her chewing her dentures, tortured eye rolls etc because the camera will always be on her while the President can scold her publicly for being the obstinate ankle biter she is. Now that is real theater.

    Trump can't yet spend funds that are not lawfully appropriated. Since presidents have the power to veto, and neither she nor Chucky have complied with law, he is stuck.

    Sounds to me as if the majority of posters never set foot one inside the Capitol of the USA.

    The building is so large, there are other parts of the building they can deliver any speech in.

    Nancy has not handed a thing to Trump that can cause him to open government. And Schumer bombed what was sent to the Senate when we still had a very good speaker.

    The Capitol does not belong to Pelosi. She has problems here in CA too. She has teachers not being paid properly about to go on strike. Democrats are in a pickle. How to solve the strike and keep telling CA teachers they have no money.

    Trump can still declare a national emergency and as Commander in Chief can use the military to build the wall.

    That's what the U.S. Army always did during peacetime, build stuff from roads, dams, forts, harbors, etc. the Army Corps of Engineers.

    He has the ability, with one phone call, to put the wheels in motion. Abandon his demand for funding for the wall, and the government would be open within hours.

    No soeaker has ever tried to physically prevent the president from delivering the SOTU or any speech

    There was a report yesterday that enough Republicans have come forward with the bill to re-open the government that is was veto proof. Mitch needs to let the Senate vote on it, but he wont.

    There IS a way out of this, but Mitch holds the key to it all.
