Make the case that the school getting bomb threats, the kids getting death threats, their parents getting death threats, threats of violence, calls for firings, threats of boycotts, threats to random people who weren't even there is not the result of nutjobs getting triggered by such endorsements of violence.

Would you make the case that all of those threats, to that specific community, is just some sort of bizarre coincidence and has nithing to do with the barrage of hateful messaging posted by influentual people?

I could not disagree with her more on this issue as a general rule. She is correct that the extreme right wears those hats to get a reaction from the left, the left empowered them to do so.

But red hat does not equal a KKK hood. Nobody wore a KKK hood for any other reason other than to support the KKK and it’s ideals. That’s not the case with the red hats.

 

Anybody, who truly thinks that MAGA hats are a symbol of violent racism, is a victim of propaganda.

They should be helped out of, not encouraged in their distorted view of reality.
