Trump golf club fires 12 illegal immigrant workers, lawyer says

    As the president railed against immigrants coming into the country illegally during the government shutdown, a manager at the Trump National Golf Club in Westchester County called a dozen immigrant workers into a room one by one Jan. 18 and fired them.

    Many of them had worked at the club for a dozen or more years, he said, and managers knew they had submitted phoney documents but looked the other way.

    The firings come after workers at another Trump club in New Jersey came forward last month to say managers there had hired them knowing they were in the country illegally, and had even helped one obtain phoney documents.

    Does anyone here think Trump personally interviewed and hired the illegals? I don't. But the people who did should be fired.

    As with all the people accused - and convicted - in his campaign, Trump is never responsible for anything and he never knows anything about it either.

    Good question. What's also funny is that this article (in an attemp to smear Trump) highlights the problem of illegal immigrants being employed for over a DECADE, and using bogus documents to obtain employement. Whoops, a little Freudian slip there.

    It is against the law to hire illegal aliens however the employer has to accept legitimate looking documents at face value and can't force the possible illegal alien to really prove that he is eligible to be hired.

    Does that mean Nancy Pelosi is responsible for John Conyers actions and for using tax dollars to cover up and bribe his victum into silence?

    Unfortunately this is a biproduct if illegal immigrant. Forging documents, stealing IDs....border security is extremely important

    So he holds no liability, eventhough, they are his companies. Trumpers want to pat him on the back for the good, but then pass the buck to someone else for the bad. Sorry, you can't have it both ways.
