From the Guardian: 'The goal is to automate us': welcome to the age of surveillance capitalism - excerpt:

    Quo Vadis? (Wither goest thou?)

Which is the question we deserve to ask ourselves because the central dynamic of the Internet may be in the hands of just a few companies whereas their "business objective" is the usage of each one of us (the "clients") for potential capital gains.

We are the "cows" to be milked for our behaviour, economic and personal desires as we express them to the world with seemingly wild abandon.

In fact, "they" know us better than we even know ourselves ...

The Libertarian perspective on this is that, as long as it's not being imposed by the government we as consumers still have choices (at least theoretically).

Although financial institutions are developing insidious workarounds like credit score ratings, with criteria selectively chosen to benefit them. (Like you have to purposelessly go into debt to be able to have a good credit score for borrowing if you need to in the future)
And they've gotten all the financial institutions using the same system.

Does the idea of a question confuse you so? What libertarian perspective is that? You referred to this libertarian perspective. Surely you can define it?

Twice I've asked a simple question. Please just answer...

    What libertarian perspective is that?
