That's pretty thin. The cops missed the bottle and reporters found it. Plus, you typically have to shake drops out of a hot sauce bottle and the bottles are small. If someone wanted to bleach Smollett wouldn't they have planned better and used a bottle with a large mouth so they could douse him with it all at once? And I can only imagine why anyone would take bleach out of the container it comes in and painstakingly put it in a small bottle.

 

"Right-wing" is a nebulous term. People label whatever is advantageous to them as 'right-wing'.

You make a couple of assumptions.

First, I havent seen any report regarding who found the bottle.

Second, the reason you usually have to shake a hot sauce bottle for a couple drops is because of the plastic sealer. You can remove that (and indeed would have to remove it if you wanted to put liquid back into the bottle) and it would flow more easily.

Finally, you assume that they were trying to pour some large amount on him because of some reason...maybe to cause maximum damage? But if they wanted to cause maximum damage, they would have just used a gun.

The bleach in the hot sauce bottle is really the first good confirmation to Smollett's story, although I doubt a forensic analysis a week later will yield any real clues. Still it's an interesting tidbit.

 

First off, the article corrected Booker by noting that White Nationalists only amount to 45% of the total. If he had said "far right extremism attacks," then his 73% claim would have been correct.

And since we ARE talking about far right wing extremism, you can go ahead and bump your math to 4.1/year.

But yea, I can agree that any violent gang is a bigger threat in terms of violent crimes when compared to terrorism.

But, if we are talking about threats to the national security, then it is terrorism that should concern you. And on that note, what do your statistics and logic have to say about the threat of Islamic terrorists? Surely, if right wing terrorism is a "red herring" because it only happens an average of 4.1 times a year, then Islamic Terrorism must be even less of an issue at 1.5/year.
