NETANYAHU'S CALL FOR WAR NO "TRANSLATION ERROR" It's no coincidence that Netanyahu is more loudly pushing for war with Iran now that he has US Troops stationed in Israel(1), (2) to die for Israel. "Netanyahu’s ‘War’ Comment Wasn’t an Accident" https://www.bloomberg.com/opinion/a...etanyahu-s-iran-war-threat-wasn-t-an-accident EXCERPT "The gathering of more 60 nations -- including Arab countries -- is, he said, an important step in pursuing their “common interest in advancing war with Iran." This was the official English translation of the prime minister’s remark, published by the Government Press Office of Israel. An hour or so later, Netanyahu’s office removed the word "war" and watered down the comment to a "common interest in combating Iran." This change was explained as the correction of a translating error. It wasn't. Netanyahu plainly said “war”; and he meant war."CONTINUED (1) "AMERICAN TROOPS HERE TO DEFEND ISRAEL" https://www.ynetnews.com/articles/0,7340,L-5151907,00.html EXCERPT "American tactical officers take to the stage, and say they're here to defend the State of Israel and its sovereignty as if they were fighting for their own country. Yes, I'm afraid that American troops are stationed in Israel. It may have been against Israeli law at one time but anytime the Israelis can manipulate Americans to fight their battles, they'll do it. With US Troops in Israel, the Israelis know that they can conduct air strikes in Syria and with any retaliation from Syria that causes US casualties, they can more successfully drag America more deeply into fighting their battles......again. As long as Israeli lobbies dominate US Policy making, America will never be able to withdraw from the region and Trump even admitted that the only reason that the US is in the Mid East is for Israel: "TRUMP: U.S. TROOPS WILL REMAIN IN THE MIDDLE EAST FOR ISRAEL" https://www.jpost.com/Middle-East/Trump-US-troops-will-remain-in-the-Middle-East-for-Israel-572997 EXCERPT "We have reached a point where we don't have to stay in the Middle East. One reason to stay is Israel," U.S. President Donald Trump said on Tuesday evening with an exclusive interview with the Washington Post."CONTINUED None of this is in America's best interests and certainly not in the interests of the young Americans sent to Israel to die for Israel.
You can be sure that Americans will end up dying for Israeli war mongering since Americans are stationed in Israel and elsewhere in the region "for Israel" (Please see Post #6)
From what I've read, the exact number is classified but from what I can glean from various sources, about 5,000 American Troops are in Israel..... for now.
There’s only about a hundred US troops in Israel, most of them radar technicians. The US has no combat units in Israel.
You are pulling that 5,000 number from your ass. There’s a few dozen at the Embassy and a few dozen more at the IAF base near Dimona that help Israel run its radar field there.
They are stationed at what is described as a " base within a base" in the article I cited below. There's not a lot of information available and the actual number of US Troops in Israel varies from time to time. (please see "Operation Juniper Cobra") You can comfortably double the stated number of US Troops stationed anywhere in the Mid East according to a General (a relative) I know who works at the Pentagon & specializes in the region. To be honest, I don't know exactly how many US Troops are in Israel nor does anyone else except those with current high levels of security clearance. My guess of 5,000 may be high but you can be sure than many more than that stand ready to die for Israel in the event of hostilities. "In first, US establishes permanent military base in Israel" https://www.timesofisrael.com/in-first-us-establishes-permanent-military-base-in-israel/ EXCERPT "For the first time in history, the United States on Monday established an official, permanent military base in Israel: an air defense base in the heart of the Negev desert. Dozens of US Air Force soldiers will call home the new base, located inside the Israeli Air Force’s Mashabim Air Base, west of the towns of Dimona and Yerucham."CONTINUED
Once again, 5,000 is bullshit. You are pulling that number from your ass. There’s only about 100 troops in Israel between the Embassy and the Radar Installation.
You don't know exactly how many US Troops are really in Israel either and a "few dozen" can quickly become thousands. I admitted that the figure of 5,000 was a guess and the number of US Troops in Israel varies from time to time. It doesn't matter how many Americans are in Israel as just one American death resulting from Israeli aggression is too many. "US Commander: ‘US Troops Prepared to Die for Israel’ in War against Syria, Hezbollah" https://www.mintpressnews.com/israe...a-harbinger-of-war-on-syria-hezbollah/238768/ EXCERPT "Beyond the fact that Israel is preparing to go to war with several countries simultaneously is the fact that U.S. ground troops are now “prepared to die for the Jewish state,” according to U.S. Third Air Force Commander Lt. Gen. Richard Clark. However, more troubling than the fact that U.S. troops stand ready to die at Israel’s behest was Clark’s assertion that Haimovitch would “probably” have the last word as to whether U.S. forces would join the IDF during war time. In other words, the IDF will decide whether or not U.S. troops become embroiled in the regional war for which Israel is preparing, not the United States."CONTINUED You will notice that, unlike anywhere else in the world, the US Troops in Israel will be put under Israeli command in the event of hostilities.
Yeah, because there’s less than 100 of them outside of US sovereign land in the Embassy, and all of them are non-combat troops. Do you think the Captain or Major that would command a detachment that small would take command is the Israeli military?
Cut the hysterics. You're lying, there's no mention of the number of US Troops in the article I cited. Again, post a credible source stating the number of US Troops in Israel.....to die for Israel.
Yes, the article I cited* in the Post to which you responded (#15) made no mention of the number of US Troops currently in Israel. The number of US Troops in Israel changes from time to time anyway. A close relative of mine was stationed in Israel for a year and stated that the number of troops in all of Israel was in the low thousands. I can only assume that it has grown since. Additionally, US Troops are not only in one location in Israel. What is more concerning than the number of US Troops in Israel is the fact that there are any at all and that US & Israeli troops are jointly preparing for a war instigated by Netanyahu with Lebanon, Syria & Gaza. Netanyahu, you will remember just recently declared a need to go to war with Iran & you can be sure that the US will be dragged along. Meanwhile, Trump just admitted that the only reason US Troops were in the Mid East at all was for Israel(1) If you'd ever spent time in a V.A. hospital you would see the real cost of the last war Israel's lobbies were "quietly successful" in orchestrating in the form of mutilated, burned, traumatized young American men & women: "Quietly lobbying Congress to approve the use of force in Iraq was one of AIPAC's successes over the past year." AIPAC executive director Howard Kohr New York Sun in January 2003 *"US Commander: ‘US Troops Prepared to Die for Israel’ in War against Syria, Hezbollah" https://www.mintpressnews.com/israe...a-harbinger-of-war-on-syria-hezbollah/238768/ In other words, Israel and the U.S. are jointly simulating a war with Lebanon, Syria, and Palestine – namely, the Gaza strip – simultaneously.
