The second Trump-Kim summit in Hanoi is about 8 hours away. My educated guess is that it will end up as another joke of the century. In my opinion, the US will fail again in its goal of complete, verifiable and irreversible denuclearisation (CVID) of North Korea whatever "cosmetic" deal is struck at the summit. To denuclearize North Korea is as difficult, if not impossible, as destroying the koramon's egg in one of my political satires. Small nations like North Korea and Iran can point the way to big countries in how to deal with US hegemony under Donald Trump. Tiny nuts seem to be harder to crack than big pumpkins. http://www.politicalforum.com/index...satire-the-old-man-of-the-mountain-9a.528293/
2. In his news conference at Hanoi after his meeting with Kim Jong-un on February 28, Donald Trump revealed that the US and DPRK had abruptly cut short their meeting and walked away without a deal. The following are some of the details disclosed to journalists: (a) Kim wants the sanctions to be lifted entirely. (b) Kim is willing to dismantle Yongbyon if the sanctions are lifted. (c) Both sides agree to continue meetings in future. 3. Kim proves to be Trump's nemesis in resisting US hegemony. He has given a good lesson to the world on how to deal with the so-called Great Dealmaker. The failure of the second Trump-Kim summit once again reinforces my view that the US could never achieve its goal of complete, verifiable and irreversible denuclearisation (CVID) of North Korea. In my opinion, North Korea's nuclear programme is as indestructible as the koramon's egg in one of my political satires. 4. A Vietnamese tanker, the Viet Tin 01, arrived just outside the harbour of Nampo on North Korea's western coast on February 25 carrying 2,000 tonnes of gasoline. It was not immediately clear whether the tanker unloaded cargo at Nampo. Under sanctions imposed by the United Nations, North Korea is heavily restricted in its imports of crude oil and refined petroleum products. News outlet NK Pro, which monitors North Korea developments, said in a report on Thursday "the transfer would likely push against UN resolutions" under which its fuel imports are restricted. Trump declared Kim was not responsible for Otto Warmbier's death? "Trump: I don’t think NK’s Kim had role in US student’s death" https://www.miamiherald.com/news/nation-world/article226911774.html
Do you think Kim personnaly judged, condemned and tortured the guy? Is the head of state responsible for every death and injuries that happens in custody?
this is a dictatorship we are talking about, you can bet Kim knew, but doesn't surprise me to see Trump defend Kim
Maybe he did, maybe he didn't. Being a dictator doesn't mean you care about each and everyone being arrested. I see this more as the act of an over zealous low grade official or camp guard who wanted to impress the higher up.
Kim is responsible for his death regardless why Trump would defend him is beyond me, he should of stayed silent and said nothing at all this was not just any other Prisoner, this was an American
Well it's on you to prove he's personnaly responsible. Was Obama responsible for all death that happened in prison during is term?
it's on Trump to prove he is worth defending, Trump loves dictators up to Kim to prove he is not in any way responsible for Otto Warmbier's death "‘He tells me he didn't know’: Trump defends Kim Jong Un over death of Otto Warmbier" https://www.washingtonpost.com/poli...6abcbcd212a_story.html?utm_term=.9e27d36fa054
Logic error. You can't prove a negative. You're the one making the assertion, it's on you to prove he did it.
you guys can defend the dictator all you want, I say Kim is in charge, he is responsible for what happened to an American in his Countries athorities custody Kim said he was not responsible for his death, he needs to prove it, just cause he died after he got in the Trump admin's custody doesn't mean he is not responsible
Funny, lately it's the left I see walking around with fruit punch mouth and quite a lot of eggs on their faces...
By that logic, President Obama was responsible for every prisoner who died in police custody when he was in office.
We're not defending the guy and you bloody well know it. They have thousands of people in camps all over the country. KJU never set foot in any of the camps. So you can't say he's DIRECTLY responsible for that death. Beside, the victim was a total moron. He died from an overdose of darwin award.
I defend nothing. I simply do not accuse of something to which there is any evidence that he is directly (or even indirectly) involved. That is the difference. Is there any evidence that he told people at the jail to have him killed? None, and I doubt it ever happened. The jails in North Korea are among the most brutal in the world, so what happened to him is just part of the horrible treatment everybody in that country suffers. In my belief the entire nation is a brutal prison, and that is to be blamed directly on the Kim Dynasty. But I guess to you it is the feelings and beliefs that matter, not the facts.
My humple guess and opinion... He got beaten by the other prisonners, probably to get his rations or because he was behaving in a way that is fellow prisonners got punished collectivelly. People get beaten and robbed of their commissary items in US prisons, think how worst it could be in a forced labor camp.
