We never have taught "legitimate history" in our schools.

Thanks to the internet, history teachers for the first time have the chance to get around using the prescribed BS forced on them by the pols running our schools. Are they? Some are, but not enough.

How do I know? Because I taught history in public schools for more than three decades.

You're propagandizing the forum. Do you believe the BS or are you shoveling out what you know is nonsense?

 

The market already understands that new forms of energy are needed for the future and are working in that direction. BHO, AOC, HRC and BS aren't going to solve the problem by giving money away, passing laws which are draconian and ineffective, or competing with each other as to who can shout the loudest, frighten the most, and appear most sincere.

When the need for alternative energy becomes stronger the market will be there, just as it always has been. We can see it now. People adjust, adapt, invent, imagine, or die. Look again to the market to solve our problems rather than know everything politicians and loud mouths who claim to know everything about everything and only they can save you through your sacrifices they'll initiate.
Perhaps the market will come up with something new, perhaps not, but I'd certainly trust them before I'd trust any politician or bureaucrat.

But the total amount of food produced by low-energy means (ie. without petrochemical fertilizers) would leave billions of people to starve.

 

Massive systems do not respond to tyrannical governance. Even your own body is a system that is not centrally governed. You think that brain in your head is in complete conscious control of your body's systems? You think it's directing every gut bacteria? You think it's making choices to open and close every sweat gland? You think it's the judge and jury for every parasite that attempts entry?

Nope. That's not how you work as an individual. What in the world makes you think you can positively effect a vastly more complex system by taking control of aspects of the system that you don't control? Do you think your body would work better if you had the power (and subsequent need) to decide which mucus glands were operational?

 

Inspired by AOC, perhaps we should develop some large scale whale farms to keep our lamps lit and airplanes aloft. Everything old can be new again,

 

Judging by AOC's demands of our nations citizens, I'm guessing she's a vegetarian who lives off the land of her own off-grid homestead. Right?

 

It was all the idiotic claim deserved. Does it matter if a number of dingbats, some on the left but far more on the right, believe the BS? No, it's still nonsense.

 

And how will food be transported if not by fossil fuel? What do ships run on? Cars? Powerplants?

And where does the electricity come from? Many of our plants are coal fired. Replace those and we dont have the capacity the nation needs.

All roads of any real significance so far lead back to fossil fuels. The only sure bet in the shorter term is nuclear energy.

The Left loves watching us being herded onto trains, why, given the chance, they will fly their private jets up just to watch us all ride trains!

 

But id that enough to get True Believer Democrats off the extreme views promulgated by Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren, Ocasio-Cortez et al. If Democrats nominate a Sanders or Warren, Trump has a good chance to win reelection.

 

You can't currently plow a field with a plutonium reactor. Tractors that can require energy to design, build, and maintain.

What proponents of so called clean energy forget is the waste of energy that would exist as the consequence of the abandonment of current technology, and the expense of energy required to convert to their currently non existent new technologies.

If you think we use a lot of energy now, imagine how much would be required to completely rebuild everything that uses energy. Such a proposal would massively increase the amount of energy used just to maintain the system.
