Gabbards would have great crossover appeal, but Democrats seem to be the 1972 mood for a complete nut. They don't just want a Cultural Revolution, they want to Beat The Cultural Revolution.
The thing to remember about the original Cultural Revolution is that it wasn’t some sort of authentic grassroots phenomenon. It came from the top. It was astroturf, with blood.

McGovern was a great candidate, but a sacrificial lamb to Nixon's unstoppable paranoid RW juggernaut.

The really scary thing is how far left of so-called current progressives war criminal Nixon was.

I wouldn’t vote for a Democrat unless it was JFK. And he’s not on the ballot.

Politically dead how?? A few articles about unhappy staffers??

In 2019, if that's all that's out there on her, she might be politician of the year..

I actually like the Biden strategy of waiting to announce... sort of building up a little suspense, which is hard to do 20 months before the election..

This. In truth, if we as a nation want new leadership it will likely be in 2024.

Well, AK was never really a possibility, so let's just call her undead with 0 chance for the nom. :)

Biden could beat Trump, no doubt.

Neither of them will make it to the nomination.

60% of the Democrat primary voters are over 45 and these are both knuckleheads.

OH MY DEAR AND FLUFFY LORD! Go Beto! “I Need a Butt Shine”

The Beto Rollout was clearly not very well thought out.

Borat and Zorro do not understand the Democratic Party in the slightest.

Trump will not get any new votes as he continues to hemorrhage votes he received in 2016.

Beto is a smarmy empty suit.

At least Obama had wit, charm and restraint to go along with his massive ego, and was a first.

Beto is just a self-satisfied creep.

Trump is so bad now that Biden could beat him, or Sanders, and definitely MObama, but Beto?

    Too Eddie Haskell.

Well, ACTUAL Eddie Haskell is hilarious; totally shameless in his Haskellness.

But Beto is like Edwards; you just know he's a creep underneath the $500 haircut.

And the beaver couldn't beat Trump in 2016, but that was a pretty ratchet beaver, I'll admit.

    Exactly.

Right now (in the current pecking order) he is fighting Liz Warren for 4th (behind Biden, Bernie, and Harris).

The chances of Trump winning a second term are not good. His first win was akin to a first time gambler in Vegas sitting down at a poker table and drawing a royal straight flush. Hillary was not a likeable candidate.......and arrogant and inept as well.......her campaign team lived in a bubble........gay, people of color and east coast elites who disdained the average American. Not campaigning one time in Wisconsin......bringing in Lady GAGa, instead of someone like Willie Nelson, to sing at a campaign rally in key state North Carolina the day before the election is indicative of their disconnect. Not to mention that blacks sat on their hands due to the fact that Hillary ‘disrespected’ their Messiah previously. A repeat of these factors are unlikely. The chances of a White male Republican ever winning the Presidency again are slim at best. The Hispanic and White suburban female vote will determine the election........

Frankly, the Democrat simply have no John F Kennedy's in the party.

Trump is that sort for the Republicans. Which angers Democrats.

Eventually Whites will learn to vote as a block and the American political scene will become totally Balkanized. I knew this was coming for years......thought it would come in the form of a third party but Trump accelerated the process by taking over the Republican Party by appealing to White working class folks who had been ignored by the Dems for years.......as well as upper middle class working Whites. Until Trump came along you never heard the MSM refer to the ‘White vote’......not anymore going forward

If Trump is able to mobilize the white vote, he will be re-elected.

The Dems, if they organize well, should have 55 Senators and almost 300 representatives in 2021.

I agree. Hell, I don't even like Trump. In fact, Trump as a president makes me cringe . . . but unless things change radically I still intend to vote for him at the end of 2020. The Dems need to pull either another Bill Clinton or even an all image and no substance Barack Obama out of their rump hole to run for the presidency. Unfortunately, though, that does seem to be where they are already finding all of their presidential contenders.

And that's how Reagan turned the South red with that 3 letter word - J.O.B.S. Something the donks had ignored since JFK. It's the economy, stupid!
