And todays Democrats are not liberal, they are progressive socialists and if they could would block anyone who disagrees with them from voting.

It's amazing how intellectually, and educationally, marginalized portions of our society are. The galloping ignorance they show in this thread is remarkable.

Such as anyone who believes restricting and even prohibiting the private, legal ownership and use of firearms, is a legitimate course of action in the wake of a criminal misuse of said firearms?

Let us rephrase the matter so that it may be understood. Was the illegal, terroristic misuse of the firearms in the mass shooting in New Zealand, a legitimate reason for the nation to drastically restrict the legal ownership and use of privately owned firearms as a result?

Which does not do anything to answer the question that was presented. If such is going to be the default answer, there is simply no reason to discuss matters occurring outside of the united states.

A good reason would be Xenamnes actually provides and contributes thoughtful intelligent replies, unlike many of the anti-gunners found on the net, who can only regurgitate what they have been programmed to post.

Why is any particular individual ultimately present? No exchange that is had on the forum will ultimately amount to anything significant, meaningful, or otherwise affect the real world that lays beyond this particular website. So what is our purpose for being present, and engaging in what is ultimately nothing more than a meaningless and insignificant waste of finite time that could be utilized elsewhere?

what part of up to discretion and if they see "indicators" of anything they don't like they don't have to issue anything?

what part of you authorize site inspections is unclear?

    their laws are incredibly strict.

Your own projection of your feelings, on other people.
I personally do not live in fear.

I have a fire extinguisher, yet I do not fear fire, I simply want the tool to deal with a fire, should I have one, so I choose an ABC type that can extinguish most fires, I chose to join fire rescue for the same reasons, nothing to do with fear.

I have guns for the same reasons, I do not fear people, and I have been attacked, I want the tools to deal with an attack.
    I have trained and prepared.

have you applied for concealed carry permits... same deal

I am against background checks and having to have a license to conceal, I think all free Americans should be able to buy a gun with a ID like buying a beer or a pack of smokes

you have a right to vote and own a gun... both should be just as easy and everyone allowed to do both

Ok no, its not. In no state of the union do I need to provide a relative of close consanguinity and another person as personal references to purchase a firearm.
In no state of the union must I allow site inspections into my home to purchase a firearm.
They're not the same things at all.

    I agree.

Voting has an extra step as you can only vote in the one district per election so you have to have some way to track that. But other than that, yes.
