Ilhan Omar Continues Her Anti-Semitism

US Representative Ilhan Omar's new target with her anti-Semitism is Stephen Miller. Criticizing viewpoints is fair game in politicking, but Omar crossed the line of political propriety, going into anti-Semitic territory (which is not terra incognita for her) when she called Miller a white nationalist; this is in spite of the fact that Stephen Miller is Jewish.

Merriam-Webster defines "white nationalist" so:

"One of a group of militant whites who espouse white supremacy and advocate enforced racial segregation."

Dogmatically, white nationalists are anti-Jewish. Rabid, lethal anti-Semitism is a leitmotif in white supremacy, which is fundamentally definitional in what semantically constitutes white nationalism. Stephen Miller is ethically Jewish. Since Miller is ethnically Jewish, were he to be a white nationalist, he would have to be self-hating to the point of self-lynching.

This evidence alone leads to a bifurcated conclusion of alternative explanations: either Omar is grossly ignorant of the true meaning of words (as multiple leftists on this board are), or she is purposely anti-Semitic. Considering the backdrop of historical context in which Omar has made anti-Israel statements, and, frankly, considering her religion, in which anti-Semitism is historically and presently a leitmotif, it is hard, as the evidence mounts up, illustrating her anti-Semitic beliefs, to defend this woman. Surely, it is the latter of the binary alternative explanation.

Her continued presence in Congress is a national embarrassment and taints the majesty of her office. At the very least, she should be officially censured, but considering that Democrats control the House, I don't see her being held to account.

 

Webster is wrong on this. That definition is more like "white supremacy"....nationalism shouldn't even have a color in front of it. Do you put your country before other countries? its that simple

Just like many of the blathering by Democrats, "white supremacist" is just another swear word to them, and something to beat political opponents over the head with. Democrats as a Party are consumed by hate, they spread it, they create it, and are driven by it.

 

Extreme right wing attitudes are on the rise. There is nothing more hateful than that. Whining about the Democrats really doesn't make sense.

That's a pathetic effort, given the US is a country with such recent vicious discriminatory practices.

 

Democrats will never hold Omar to the same standards that they lynched upon Steve King. Imagine if King were either still an active member of the KKK or openly declared the KKK/Neo-Nazis to be correct and that he'd act politically on said beliefs. He'd be censured and removed.

Omar? She's got a really cozy home, Pelosi won't touch her.

 

White nationalists are extremist, by definition

 

I remember many occasions where mobs of Bernie and Hilary supporters ran thru the streets beating and assaulting any Trump supporters they could find. I do not remember the reverse. Just look at the unfortunate Catholic school kids, and the way they were savaged, just for wearing MAGA hats.

 

White nationalists are now, and always have been a laughingly tiny minority of universally denounced groups and people. It is not on the rise, they will always struggle to fill a phone booth with their members.

Oh, and once you identify yourself as a white nationalist, there is no need to attribute "far" to that. You are by definition far off into kooksville at that point.

Simply not true. White nationalism has always been a blight in the US. Compare, for example, the terrorism activity in the US. The difference now is that the reality tv star is legitimising these attitudes. They therefore grow. I am shocked, for example, at the level of racism by Americans on this forum. It makes America look decidedly backward.
