You mean that you dare to view Muslims as fellow human beings?

    Shame on you.

Once more let me set the sarcastic flag on this posting.

Suggest you take yourself to the local library an do something that Trump seems not to do and read a few history books dealing with the history of the church.

Very interesting history indeed with Emperors holding power at times only by permission of the Popes.

Yes, the gesture has a powerful message. To kneel down and kiss or wash the stinky feet of Muslims is the very act of Jesus. Francis also prayed with Islamic clergy just like other popes have done since the God of Islam is the same God of Jews/ Christians. Worshippers bow down and kiss the floor in mosques. Christians kneel. It is an act of humble respect and awe.

Your post strongly reflects the typical American view on the separation of church & state. But the Catholic Church has never been separate from politics. From the beginning, the Roman Catholic & the Byzantine churches were closely attached to,& in ways controlled by, the state leaders of the time. During the "Dark Ages," the Catholic church was the only form of real government that existed other than town or village forms. During Medieval times, the Catholic Church competed for power with the newly forming national monarchies. Separation of church & state was an American idea from the founding fathers because they knew the bloody history of religious rule in Europe that preceded them. They didn't want America to repeat that history. Pope Francis doesn't have a background in separation of church & state, but he is a good man & a man of peace, who has the right to express his views publicly--as we all do. World leaders can listen when they choose. Pope Francis has no right or power to inflict his will over any world leaders.

Jesus wanted grown men to kiss his feet and rub oil on his body?

Jesus promised to forgive sins in return for men playing with his feet and kissing him?

I think Jesus was bi-sexual.. he loved everyone

"Then he turned toward the woman and said to Simon, “Do you see this woman? I came into your house. You did not give me any water for my feet, but she wet my feet with her tears and wiped them with her hair. 45 You did not give me a kiss, but this woman, from the time I entered, has not stopped kissing my feet. 46 You did not put oil on my head, but she has poured perfume on my feet. 47 Therefore, I tell you, her many sins have been forgiven—as her great love has shown. But whoever has been forgiven little loves little.”"

If you are ever given a contract to set up an ARTISTIC ARMAGEDDON in Jerusalem........ I would suggest your asking Brother Sundar Sevaraj (and perhaps author Rick Joyner) if they would play out the role of the two witnesses. I really think that the two of them would do an amazing job.........

.... on that note I should send you a personal message.....

(Oh... and I would suggest the construction of both a Jerusalem Temple Mount Third Temple near the Gihon Spring AND.... a second Jerusalem Temple that would be the central region of the fulfillment of an Ezekiel chapter forty to forty eight temple mount.

Artistic Hollywood style "Armageddon" could bring world out of recession?!

My point is that he would do himself a favor if he limited his public statements to church matters.

Past popes took a valiant leadership role in defending the West against Islamic aggression.
