Because not all cases are the same. I've read a lot about this case, and I think Noor should be convicted. I also think the City of Minneapolis will be successfully sued for millions for "negligent appointment". I'm a retired police officer and conservative.

All too often such issues are covered up due to privacy law concerns. Seems to me that public safety overrides privacy concerns especially as to those who could pose danger to society. Lex talionis is your solution to this problem here, right?

Yes, the lawsuit will be for Wrongful Death. There are a number of ways to win a wrongful death case, and one of those ways is to prove "wrongful appointment". This means that the hiring or retaining of the employee was negligent (should have known) or that it was an act of malfeasance (knowingly) by the City. Either way, the City is going to pay out millions for the death of the victim.

complaints are reported on daily news papers, radio/tv reports the investigations into personnel files are all confidential - didn't you know that already???
not if they shoot a civilian, as happened in this case and there is a trial. So you should easily be able to prove your case from open source reports...if you're right.
