    Main reasons; Partisan politics is worsening, and action is needed to address the Nation's fiscal health, thus, a proven moderate/deficit hawk is a rational choice.

    In addition, he's an experienced politician, a successful entrepreneur, and understands the economy better than his leftist political rivals, and he's a man of strong social conscience.

    I've been thinking that Jay Inslee, Tim Ryan, and Hickenlooper are the better candidates. They seem like they would make great administrators, which is the primary job of the president.

    If you want economy and growth, you want Trump. Nobody else gets it like Trump does.

    The primary job of a president is in establishing a vision, Kennedy being greater than ourselves. Johnson a more just world. Nixon a return to order, Reagan- hope,

    No, I want GREAT AGAIN, thus, Clinton's economic indicators, and fiscal figures, such as;

    Clinton's Revenue Growth rates were between 4% and 11%
    Trump's Revenue Growth rates; 2017 (1.5%), 2018 (less than 1%)

    Clinton's annual GDP Growth rates; average 3.9%
    Trump's annual GDP Growth rates; average 2.55%

    Clinton's Employment to population ratio ; 65%
    Trump's Employment to population ratio; 60%

    Clinton's balanced budgets
    Trump; we'll never get one, OMB 2024 estimated deficit; $750 billion

    Do you want a short list, or a long list of GREAT AGAIN economic indicators/fiscal figures?

    Not because of policy, but Clinton had the tech boom, a once in a generation economic boom. Too bad we were too stupid (Not a shot at any party or President) to harness it's full economic might.

    If Trump had a tech boom, he would have those numbers too.

    Dumb choices
    You are correct.....due to different factors and conditions, and I know them all.

    In addition, Clinton had no negativities, such as;

    A huge trade deficit
    high household debt
    high student loan debt
    A cold war
    high disability claims
    a high Debt to GDP ratio
    a large "out of labor force" population
    no FICA excess contributions

    Geeeeeze, do you want a short list, or a long list of negativities?

    He's also pro-oil, pro-business, against Medicare for all, however, pro-universal health care.

    Thus, he's partially Republican.

    I also have a gut feeling he doesn't want to debate moral issues

    So true. But the dems see themselves losing power and the Trump-haters don't care about a great economy for the country. Both are willing to hurt the country if they can get rid of Trump. Sad, sad, sad.
