    Kneejerk denialism duly noted!

Mueller documented 100+ instances of MEMBER of the Campaign dealing with the Russians.

Mueller documented 10 occasions where your BLOTUS attempted to obstruct justice and STIPULATED that he could NOT find any evidence to exonerate your BLOTUS from his crimes of committing OOJ.

At issue today is executive privilege and Trump's position that he will refuse all access to White House documents, staffers, and former staffers (McGahn, for example). That access is being submitted by a co-equal branch of our government. The question becomes, can Trump hide from our representatives in Congress?

He can try, but it is political suicide. So is hiding from Americans. The White House has not had a press conference in 48 days. In the 28 months of his Presidency, Trump has held two press conferences. Both were utter disasters and it is expected he will not hold another. A secret Presidency is also political suicide.

Also, he is destined to lose in the courts. The Supreme Court has already ruled on this issue in United States v. Nixon.

Trump has asserted a generalized need for confidentiality. In other words, he is banning everything -- he even said so -- as opposed to forbidding access to a specific document or the testimony of a specific White House staffer or former staffer. In U.S. vs. Nixon, the Court ruled "because Nixon had asserted only a generalized need for confidentiality, the Court held that the larger public interest in obtaining the truth in the context of a criminal prosecution took precedence.

So, Trump can try, but all he is doing is delaying the inevitable and that will become a political liability in an election year as slowly, but surely, the courts will rule against him.

Trump can't use executive privilege to obstruct justice where he is the subject of the investigation.

80% of the redactions were in the section dealing with the alleged conspiracy with Russia.

I heard one Trump Republican clown from the House say that only 6% of the Mueller Report was redacted. The idiot tried to minimize the redactions and he made himself look like an idiot.

"Great," I said to myself,"if they are so unimportant let's see the entire report without the redactions."

I imagined the clown didn't have an answer for that one.

Politicians say the stupidest things on television when no one can question them.

Not at all. We are now going to publicly examine the evidence of the "coup" you have helped to promote relentlessly.

I watched Barr's testimony before the Senate Judiciary Committee chaired by Trump's golfing buddy, Lindsey Graham. It was glaringly obvious that Barr acted more like Trump's attorney rather than the attorney general of the United States. Allow me to explain.

First, some background. On March 27, three days after Barr cleared Trump of criminal wrongdoing in a misleading and incomplete summary of Mueller’s report on the Russia investigation, the special counsel felt compelled to protest. In a letter made public on Wednesday, just as Barr was preparing to testify before the Senate Judiciary Committee, the American public and the good Senators found out how the special counsel thought about Barr's prejudicial conclusions.

Mueller’s tone and tenor are remarkable — and a sharp rebuke of the attorney general.

“The summary letter the Department sent to Congress and released to the public late in the afternoon of March 24 did not fully capture the context, nature, and substance of this Office’s work and conclusions,” Mueller wrote.

Barr’s effort to spin the findings of the investigation raised “concern” about all the confusion and misreporting that the attorney general had caused, according to Mueller.

“There is now public confusion about critical aspects of the results of our investigation. This threatens to undermine a central purpose for which the Department appointed the Special Counsel: to assure full public confidence in the outcome of the investigations,” Mueller wrote.

Just as any good lawyer for Trump would say, in his testimony Barr characterized Mueller’s letter as “a bit snitty,” and suggested it had been written by an underling.

Barr said he spoke by phone to Mueller about the letter. He said Mueller was concerned about the media coverage. Mueller never mentions media coverage in the two letters sent to Barr (the other on March 25). In the hearing Barr refused to hand over the transcript of the phone call.

Barr refuses to hand over an unredacted version of the Mueller Report to Congress.

Barr is terrified of speaking to fellow attorneys about the matter. The format of the hearing tomorrow calls for staff attorneys to question Barr, half hour for the Democratic counsel, half hour for the Republican counsel. Barr refuses to attend the hearing.

Protecting Trump, Barr is acting every bit like one of Trump's lawyers. He has lost the respect of his friend, Bob Mueller. He has the lost the respect of fellow prosecutors who feel strongly that the attorney general should not be acting as a defense attorney.

And he has lost his own self-respect. It is hoped Trump is paying him a lot of money.

William Barr can no longer effectively serve as the attorney general of the United States. He has diminished the office with his partisanship, and the American public simply cannot have faith that he will fairly and impartially oversee any of the criminal and civil investigations regarding President Donald Trump that may be in the Justice Department's pipeline. The Steel "dosier" was part of a Russian disinformation campaign. Steel was violently oppose to Trump from the beginning. Hillary paid him for the dosier. It was used to obtain a FISA warrant. Russia laughed about it for 2 years. .....so did Sandy. Now it;s over. We are going to discover the "Genesis" of the Mueller investigation.

Now we have Maxine Waters who used to bellow "Peach Foty fi!" Bellowing "Peach Barr!". Are you tagging along Sandy?Sounds like it!

Anyone opposed to the "Coup" is going to be "partisan" in your eyes. Exactly why Mueller had a bunch of Clinton lawyers and partisan hacks on his investigative committee.

Why do you back Trump? You never support him. Think about that. Maybe you should re-adjust your priorities.

    Just a thought.

Would you like to have a personal pronoun spelling bee? Attacking one's intelligence is a familiar trade of the left.

Just learned to spell "Strzok". You better too, Sandy. That name is going to resurface and become more common once again!

Coup? Are you really that desperate that you have to use Trump's moronic term?

It is becoming more and more apparent as Trump gets deeper and deeper into a pile of do-do, that the only defense his supporters can mount is to say something really stupid. Logic doesn't work, and reality is against them.

More and more it is becoming clear that Trump is a sick man.

What can I say? You misspelled Steele's name. If you consider that an attack on your intelligence, that's your problem.

Your fellow Trump supporters, except for Jestsayin and he doesn't count, are avoiding this thread. They know Barr looked ludicrous as a prosecuting attorney yesterday, and that makes Trump look very bad.

Refusing to give Congress the full version of the Mueller Report, Mueller's criticism of him twice, refusing to give Congress the transcript of the phone call between him and Mueller, and refusing to appear at the hearing today makes Barr look very foolish and vulnerable.

That makes Trump vulnerable and he knows it. Barr should resign.

The term "coup" was coined long long before I ever heard Trump use it. Actually, when it was found out the FISA warrant was obtained with the unverified Steele dosier. At that time the fact it became obvious the FBI was in the tank to overturn an election (as you are) and spy on American citizens......it was then a coup was discovered.

"They tried for a coup, it didn't work out so well. And I didn't need a gun for that one, did I?" Trump told the crowd of gun-rights advocates at the National Rifle Association’s annual meeting in Indianapolis on Friday. "All was taking place at the highest levels in Washington, D.C. You've been watching, you've been seeing.”

"Spying, surveillance. Trying for an overthrow," Trump continued. "And we caught them, we caught them. Who would have thought in our country?"

Barr said he spoke by phone to Mueller about the letter. He lied to the Senate when he said he didn't know what concerned Mueller.

He said Mueller was concerned about the media coverage. Barr lied. Mueller never mentioned media coverage in the two letters sent to Barr (the other on March 25). In the hearing Barr refused to hand over the transcript of the phone call.

Barr is acting every bit like one of Trump's lawyers, not the attorney general.

Trump's followers want nothing to do with all of this. Yet they still back him. Go figure. Their support for Trump makes no sense.

Barr is terrified of speaking to fellow attorneys about the matter. Barr refused to attend today's hearing.

Why is it Republicans don't want to hear from Mueller? They think it is all over.

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) reiterated on Wednesday that he will not ask special counsel Robert Mueller to testify about the Russia probe.

“I'm not going to do any more. Enough already. It's over,” Graham told reporters.

Aw, hell, its just beginning, and you can blame that on Trump. He refuses to cooperate with Congress so everything is going before the courts. This will go beyond the 2020 election because Trump is acting very guilty.

Thank you, Mr. President. His fans wanted chaos in Washington, and they are getting it.

If they keep backing Trump, Republicans are in deep trouble. It is suggested they come to their senses.
