And previous months revised upward 16,000 and wages up 3.2%, put that where the sun don't shine Joe Biden who just said in his speech wages are stagnant as they were in his and Obama's term.
Trump's policies are working, this is a great report on what continues to be one of the best economies in our history.
So how will the Democrat candidates be able to run against this?

U.S. economy adds 263,000 jobs, unemployment rate falls to 3.6%

The U.S. economy added 263,000 non-farm payrolls in April, the Bureau of Labor Statistics reported Friday. This topped expectations for 190,000 new positions, according to consensus estimates compiled by Bloomberg. March’s payroll additions were upwardly/downwardly revised to 189,000, from 196,000 previously.

The unemployment rate fell to 3.6% for the month, versus a 3.8% rate expected. Meanwhile, the labor force participation rate fell slightly to 62.8%.

Average hourly earnings rose 0.2% month-over-month and 3.2% year-over-year. Consensus economists had anticipated hourly wages to increase 0.3% on a monthly basis and 3.3% on an annual basis, or just above the 3.2% increase seen in March...

Now how about some welfare reform to get the LFPR higher?

Hypocrites. When the obama lovers posted the same news it was because "people were dropping out of the workforce". I'm sure it's different now that your guy is in office. GTF OOH.

“Unemployment is a totally phony number.”

“The number is not reflective. I have seen numbers of 24 percent. I saw a number of 42 percent unemployment. … That number is so false.”

“Nobody has jobs. … It is not a real economy. It is a phony set of numbers. They cooked the books.”

“Look again, you hear these phony jobs numbers? People that gave up looking for jobs? They are considered employed.”

I'll be sure to reply to this thread as soon as I get more than a modest bump for inflation. With the scarcity of software developers I should command a fine salary, right?

Unemployment have been on the downward trend since the day of Obama. It's not a surprise is it? Looking at this chart from your own article.

You might call it trickle down or voodoo economics, some call it Reaganomics, but it's really called supply side economics...and it actually works.

Most Democrats don't even know what stupid economic policy the support. They don't know what it's called.

However, our TOTAL EMPLOYED is SHRINKING!

Let's take a look at BLS Employment Situation TABLE A -

    Total employed FEB 2019; 156,959,000
Total employed MAR 2019; 156,748,000 SHRINKING
Total employed APR 2019; 156,645,000 SHRINKING

    https://www.bls.gov/news.release/empsit.a.htm

SHRINKING mainly due to the fact we've just entered a long period where near 12,500 boomers are turning 65 on a daily basis, thus, monthly; 12,500 X 30 days = 375,000

Our "TOTAL EMPLOYED" IS SHRINKING, and LESS EMPLOYED means LESS badly needed REVENUES.

......and the main reason why it's SHRINKING; due to restrictive/protectionist immigration policies.

Last, I told you folks the same thing last month, and evidently, my indisputable fact Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest. WE HAVE A SERIOUS PROBLEM TRUMPISTS ARE INTENTIONALLY IGNORING, for partisan reasons of course.

A lower number of labor participation would make unemployment numbers go up all things staying the same.

Retirees still pay income taxes, right? Don't worry about revenues.

So what if our population drops without importing a bunch of new people? More people means more strain on our environment. You should be pleased to see us using less natural resources and less pollution. Right?

Well I don't recall Obama posting the same news and the LFPR was going over the cliff. It finally stabilized and we have seen some slight turnaround and as I said that is the next thing we need to work on ala welfare reform. What more do you want?

Quote: Retirees still pay income taxes, right? Don't worry about revenues

    Here's my rationale;

    a. The still employed BOOMER'S average salary is between 45K and 55K

    b. Near 70% of OASI recipients do not pay federal income taxes.....generally not taxable if your adjusted gross income is under $25,000.

    c. We currently have a shrinking labor force mainly due to retiring boomers, MINUS 314,000 EMPLOYED since Feb 2019, and despite the fact hundreds of thousands of jobs were created. Annually, 314,000 X 6 months = potentially MINUS 3,768,000 EMPLOYED.

Thus, if we were to "conservatively" assume that the retired boomer's adjusted gross income have generally been reduced from 50K to 25K, simple mathematics will show that THEY and a shrinking labor force have/will negatively affect both revenues, and consumer spending, thus, GDP Growth.
