    https://www.cnn.com/2019/05/14/politics/trump-emoluments-democrats-subpoena/index.html

Trump's team has repeatedly told Congress that it is none of their business if he breaks the law. And this filing is part of the pattern of Trump's plan to run out the clock on any effort to investigate Trump for unethical and illegal behavior.

Luckily, Trump's resistance to Congressional Oversight just had a very bad day in court.

Trump is too busy to respond to Congressional oversight? How about you take some time away from golfing and tweeting then, you jackass.

It’s unreasonable to tie up a president in endless bogus lawsuits and investigations.

LMAO... yeah, he looks sooo busy when he's down in the panhandle catering to the toothless set or when he spends 20 minutes yelling at reporters in the daily episode of Chopper Talk...

He's too busy obstructing justice (and starting trade squabbles in his spare time)....

Not long now.... then, as you have so ably pointed out, we can skip all this congressional obstruction and get to work on his indictments...

I agree with your sentiment, but at this point you could almost argue it's "treasonous" and "anti-American" rather than just "unreasonable".

    Nice

Here's a funny scenario in the lawsuit you reference..

    SNIP
Douglas Letter, general counsel of the House of Representatives, replied that Mr Trump's claim of freedom from congressional oversight marked "a total, basic and fundamental misunderstanding" of the Constitution, saying he would pronounce Congress "a nuisance . . . getting in his way while he's trying to run the country."

Pressed by Mr Mehta to come up with some hypothetical demand by Congress that would go too far, Letter speculated. "I want to see the president's diary when he was 7 years old, or when she was 12 years old. That would probably stretch my argument to the breaking point."
    ENDSNIP

Dear Diary.... Daddy gave me another million dollars today... Yay.... now maybe I can get my rapidly developing bonespurs looked at.... I just hope it's not by a doctor from Mexico, because I'm sure they would be an illegal immigrant.

And Diary, No collusion, No obstruction....

Billy committed perjury and was disbarred. He deserved to be impeached, but he didn't deserve to be removed from office. It worked out ok.

Barr’s view is that a president:
Can’t be charged, can fire anyone who investigates him if he thinks he’s innocent, and can’t be investigated by congress.

And righties don’t see a problem here?!?

Could you imagine the response the conservatives would have had if Billy boy would have pulled the crap Dump has. It's like they have no memory.

Consider the vast coordinated display of corruption we just witnessed in the FBI and DOJ. Their self-admitted intention was to fabricate, emphasis fabricate, the means by which this Presidency could be disrupted. That's why we don't allow the Presidency to be so easily assailed. Because its far too easy for the fat stinking ass of politics to hide behind things like oversight and play itself as legitimate.

Now if there had been serious actual evidence of collusion with a foreign government then this would be a different matter altogether. But there never was any such evidence now was there? Nothing even remotely similar to it, in fact. All we have is some bogus long-shot attempt to (again) fabricate an obstruction charge and I'm sorry that just isn't good enough to go after any President.

    Of course, they don't.

Trump could commit murder on Live TV, and his supporters wouldn't miss a beat and continue to start 20 threads a day based on Breitbart's Fantasies.

    The RW won't care.

In their eyes Trump can do no wrong. :smh:

Heh, I thought I was pointing it out since your post was so basic. You blurted three fake news falsehoods that had been regurgitated in one form or another during the witch hunt, throughout which were repeatedly debunked as misleading sophistry. I'm not about to recreate that entire saga. I'm just pointing out how effective it was seeing as how you (and others) still believe it.

False, he lied about engaging in sexual behavior with a subordinate employee, on the job, in a federal workplace and the special treatment he gave that subordinate employee because of the sexual relationship. He did so in a federal lawsuit file but another former subordinate government worker over sexual harassment and sexual assault. He committed perjury, obstruction of justice, subornation of perjury and witness tampering. It was not a witch hunt because prima facie evidence of those crimes were dumped in Ken Starr's lap. Whitewater which was an entirely separate investigation more about his wife than him began with a CRIMINAL REFERRAL from the Resolution Trust Company.

He did worse and was impeached and indicted but the Democrats said perjury, obstruction of justice, subornation of perjury and witness tampering were not impeachable or removable offenses. Can you imagine if Trump had committed those crimes? OH he didn't and they still want to impeach and remove him.
