Trump Calls For ‘Long Jail Sentences’ For Officials Involved in Russia Probe: ‘This Was TREASON!’

Trump’s alleging of “TREASON” is a very big deal, and takes the allegations to an entirely new level. He is wrong, however, when he says “TREASON means long jail sentences” as treason is actually punishable by the death penalty. (Update: The Uniform Code for Military Justice allows for many kinds of sentences *up to* life in prison and death.)

At issue is surveillance operation that the Obama administration’s Justice Department approved as evidence came to light that Russian intelligence officials were working to influence the outcome of the 2016 general election (which has since been revealed to benefit the Trump campaign) and if they were actively trying to infiltrate the Trump campaign.

I disagree with Trump on one premise: He needs to shut up about it. One of the only reasons a prosecutor would never bring a case against Trump at this juncture, is that Trump is tried in the media. The bias therefore lends easily to a mistrial. Trump bloating to the media is not(and has not) served him well. Hell, Mueller attempted to make an obstruction case out of twitter feed posts!

For better or worse, I'm a huge believer in revenge, the few times I was seriously wronged I wanted to take a lot more than what they took from me - I was completely heartless. With that in mind, the left - yes, the left, that would be the democrats - wanted to see Trump accused and tried for committing crimes, they wanted to see his family suffer, his friends suffer, his associates suffer, and they literally cheered when some of them did. If I happened to be in Trump's shoes, I would secretly hire as many private investigators as my wealth could afford and find every skeleton in every democrat's closet, and I mean everyone be they politician, news anchor or host, or anyone else, and I'd do everything I could to ruin them or put them in jail. I'm crazy that way.
