YOU were never forced to use your body to grow another person. If you, like me, have a problem with the draft, then fight against it. If you don't wish to serve you may opt out as a conscientious objector.... If a woman doesn't want to gestate she opts for an abortion.
Unless the government, in its power, compels her to do so. You can fight for the right to abortion. I have the right to fight the US getting into stupid regime change wars that can get me killed. But at the end of the day, we only have the rights we win. And right now, it is the pro-Roe views that are losing. Time for a much more compelling argument than, "it's my body". Not if the government says it is not but instead claims ownership.
Fine, then if she and the fetus are government property the government(taxpayers) should pay for all her expenses and the expenses of the fetus from conception to cradle to grave. You know, ACCEPT PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY for what is theirs. If the government has the power to force people to use their body to grow another person then it has overstepped it's power. We should NOT have to win the right to bodily autonomy....it's a given. Then America is losing. WHOSE rights are next in line for the chopping block? Uh, That IS the compelling argument.....unless you believe that the government owns it's citizens which it shouldn't. Like China...and other regressive countries, dictatorships..

That is YOUR opinion! Millions of women do it ALL THE TIME and only a very small fraction ever result in an abortion. Why must they ALL be denied the pleasure of intercourse just because you have a problem with abortion?
