You mean other than the 90%+ effectiveness of the walls we already have, right?

How many visa overstays will a wall prevent?
    That’s a 50%+ failure rate alone.

I never said a wall will not work, I said a wall alone will not work — and it won’t. It will be ineffective especially if not completed in its entirety along with constant surveillance which will be immediately defunded once Democrats take over again. It also does nothing to affect the illegals already here.

Yes, you intimated that walls don't work with your long list of ways they don't work in your opinion.

No one has said a wall alone is the only solution.

That's an argument that leftists submit themselves, then argue against it all by themselves.

I'm glad you realize that Democrats have no intention of stopping illegal immigration and actually want it to increase though.

Then why have zero serious proposals to do any of the items advocated by NumbersUSA been attempted by congressional republicans?

If trump would have shut down the government over half the things they propose he would have had my full support but he didn’t — he shut it down over a small portion of wall, if republicans were screaming anything other than “wall” y’all would have my complete support, but in reality neither party wants effective measures.

Republicans are just as guilty as the democrats

Trump and the republicans are fixated on the wall and say nothing else about the other problems. I'd say the republicans are faking outrage over the illegals issue when their states and districts make use of illegals labor on their farms.

Who cares if they’re injured? I don’t. Why would anyone care?

Saw one dude get his foot run over trying to hop a train.

Youd think theyd be a little more athletic given they've traveled all those miles..

    You mean like this?

    https://www.congress.gov/bill/116th-congress/senate-bill/301/text

Why don't they pass? I'll tell you why.

Too many people, of both parties, enjoy having a slave labor class.

If you think Trump has only talked about a wall, then you haven't really been listening.

That bogus talking point has been shot down more times than I can count. If walls weren't effective no one would use them.

LOL - Where the hell have you been? Conservatives have been proposing a lot of things over the years, but I guess you're so fixated on the wall you didn't notice. Then again, maybe you already knew that but you just decided to make sh*t up...

That's the best you can come up with - denials and fabrications?

    LAME.

No sh*t, Captain Obvious - stemming the tide of illegal immigration requires a multi-faceted approach - conservatives have been saying that for years - but don't let that stop you from pretending they haven't.

We care, it's the Open Borders-Sanctuary City-Benefits & Amnesty for All-Pandering to La Raza, et al-Do Nothing Left that doesn't care. Democrats have proposed nothing to stem the tide of illegal immigration, but they're working hard to encourage it. The only crisis Pelosi & Co. see on our border is the crisis for the immigrants who are trying to stampede into this country. Dems can't get them on the voter and census rolls quick enough...

I don’t care what they are saying, I care what they are doing. They are not attempting to pass a single piece of legislation.

Walls work well until they have to go across bodies of water and then no so much.

Where is the legislation to back up any of what you are spewing? Republicans had total control for two years — nothing.

Like I said, republicans are just as complicit as democrats — even more so because it’s a “party platform” playing their bases like the fiddles that they are.

    Party, yes. Ideology, no.

We have Republicans who are democrats that lied to get elected.

That's how we end up with leftists in the Republican party.

Are you suggesting the POTUS isn't serious about fixing the problem?

No, Republicans have not had a voting majority at any time.

All Democrats voted against a building a wall and border security and the Republicans need their votes. The Democrats sloganeer that any problems at the border were a 'manufactured crisis'. Remember that? Why oppose Republicans rather than putting the country first?

So no Democrats supporting border security and it's therefore the Republicans fault. Is that your position?

That’s absolutely what I am suggesting unless you have specific legislation that he has specifically endorsed or pushed for (not just mentioned in a rant) and then I will change that position.

    Have any?

Ok, what have they attempted outside of a wall?

Genuinely interested. I would love to believe they are actually trying to secure the border and not just playing political football.

There have been multiple e-verify bills that Republicans didn't have the voting majority to secure.

If you don't have 60 votes and zero democrats vote for it, it goes nowhere.

Well the POTUS recently gave a speech about that revolving around merit based immigration, ending chain migration, e-verify, and many other aspects of the illegal immigration situation.

Without the wall though, deportation is useless as they'll just wander right back in.

If your door was open and neighborhood pets kept entering, would you try to put them outside first, or close the door first.

    I don’t support either party.

Republicans not pushing bills that will make a difference is why it’s republicans fault — democrats are not going to do anything in this area. They have not made the promise to do so. I am in opposition to their inaction as well.

I would stop feeding them first. The door is hard to close when it stretches 2 thousand miles and you have entire groups that exist solely to penetrate that door and the roof is missing.

I think images of piles of corpses would cause problems in that area.
