Of course not. Mueller was prevented by the Justice Department guideline that does not allow a sitting president to be indicted. He carried out his mission "to oversee the previously-confirmed FBI investigation of Russian government efforts to influence the 2016 presidential election and related matters," and submitted the evidence he was able to uncover.

What is done with that evidence is not his call.

Obviously he did not find enough evidence, unlike with obstruction

This has nothing to do with any real or imagined crimes that Hillary may or may not have committed. It has everything to do whether a team of Trump hating Hillary supporters with nearly 40 million dollars and unlimited resources to investigate the President found him guilty of any wrong doing. They didn't. End of story.

Since you brought it up though, I sort of think Hillary subjected to the same sort of investigation wouldn't have emerged entirely unscathed.

He could, he reports to the AG the crimes he is accusing Trump of committing, the AG reports it to Congress with the evidence so they can impeach and remove, then once removed Mueller prosecutes else he waits to when either Trump is not reelected or simply leaves office. He said in his report and in his statement today they could not conclude he committed a crime. Well when the government can't conclude you committed a crime that is it it is over and the presumption of innocence prevails.

To the extent I am tying the two events together - yes I plead guilty, because in fact, they are related in terms of Trump lying. That was the question.

I think it is very clear that obstruction does not need to succeed to be obstruction or the term would not exist.

Yes, of course, it's like Nancy said, it is a part of a coverup.
I suspect it was leaked by someone around Trump.

Obviously. Or Trump would not be at 10,000 plus in the lie department.

So your claim is that in 2013 (when this picture was taken) that these men knew Trump was going to run for President. Hell, dude. If they knew that much about the future, then they should have been made Grand Puba of the Universe.

That is so obviously and totally false that it’s amazing that anyone would still make such a ridiculous statement.

“Didn’t find any connection between a single American and Putin”.

    Really?

Who bought the Palm Beach mansion that Trump owned for twice what he paid for it?

Who was at the Trump Tower meeting?

Who continued throughout the 2016 Presidential campaign to pursue a Trump Tower Moscow deal?

    Want me to go on??????????

This really illustrates how totally absurd the current Trumpster rationalizations really are!

So the executive branch should be in charge of reporting on crimes committed by the executive branch? Yeah that sounds legit Lol

Not all special councils are the same.

The fundamental legal difference between the Starr and Mueller probes has to do with the law governing the process of investigating a president for potential criminal wrongdoing.

Starr acted pursuant to a statute passed by Congress. Called the Ethics and Government Act of 1978, the law authorized Starr to send information he collected to the United States Congress and to provide recommendations related to impeachment of the person under investigation. Starr’s report to the House of Representatives included sexually explicit details on Clinton’s affair with White House intern Monica Lewinsky although, as we know, Clinton himself was not indicted.

The Supreme Court upheld the statute as constitutional despite its creation of a prosecutor who didn’t answer to the president — the boss of all federal prosecutors under Article II of the Constitution. The law lapsed in 1999.

What replaced it was not a statute, but a regulation. A regulation is a rule with the power of law created by an agency instead of Congress. Regulations are constitutionally problematic because they are not passed by Congress, but by the executive branch. Most of the time, regulations must be promulgated pursuant to what’s known as the notice-and-comment process, which requires that agencies get the public’s input before they become law.

The regulation governing special counsel Robert Mueller was created internally by DOJ lawyers who report to the president. The regulation does not authorize the creation of a comprehensive report to Congress; instead, it requires the special counsel to forward a “confidential” report to the attorney general. Any further disclosure — to Congress or anyone else — is up to Attorney General Bill Barr, a Trump appointee who answers to the president.

    I was quite clear

He reports to the AG the crimes he is accusing Trump of committing, the AG reports it to Congress with the evidence so they can impeach and remove, then once removed Mueller prosecutes else he waits to when either Trump is not reelected or simply leaves office. He said in his report and in his statement today they could not conclude he committed a crime. Well when the government can't conclude you committed a crime that is it it is over and the presumption of innocence prevails.

What crimes did he report in his report?

Here's what he stated today on those 2 topics..

Collusion - there was insufficient evidence to charge a broader conspiracy. I have to assume he's talking about everybody on the Trump campaign, since we know he couldn't indict Trump on conspiracy anyway.
OOJ - if we had had confidence that the President clearly did not commit a crime, we would have said so.

    Clear as mud...

Yes and Congress changed the law so instead of an INDEPENDENT Counsel it was a SPECIAL Counsel who reported to and we overseen by the AG. Then the AG would report to the Congress and the People. Starr's investigation included explicit sexual details because Clinton was denying those explicit sexual acts with a subordinate employee while that employee was on the job and an employee who received special treatment and favor for those sexual favors, all while being sued in a federal court by a former subordinate government employee who did not grant those sexual favors even as he sexually assaulted her. Starr reported to the Speaker of the House as the law at the time required that he was prepared to accuse President Clinton of 13 felonies and that if the Congress impeached and removed him he could proceed else he would have to wait until he was out of office.

AG has no role in impeachment for a reason.
He reported on possible crimes. He explained his reason for not accusing trump of crimes (although he could have)

Sounds like Starr was not bound by DOJ guidelines since he wasn’t a DOJ employee. Mueller was.

The LAW as Congress including at the behest of Gerald Nadler says the SC reports to the AG. What are you missing here? What are you trying to claim here? We have the Mueller investigation in which no crime is alleged. Mueller made no criminal accusations today. So what crime are you talking about when no one has been accused of one and the SC has said in his report and in his statement today they could not conclude a crime was committed. That's it, if he could not conclude a crime was committed the case is legalling CLOSED.
