Robert Mueller had a press conference yesterday basically parroting back exactly what was written in the Mueller report. He stated that he didn't want to testify to Congress to explain his decisions and lack of decisions. I think he owes it to the American people to explain these things not just drop a report in the night and not explain anything. Do you think Lindsey Graham should subpoena Robert Mueller in to testify?

Why? You don't believe should explain his reasonings for decisions or lack of decisions?

Or you think Nadler will make him testify even though all signs are pointing against that imo.

Or is it because Washington is a good ole boy club?

Mueller can play on absurdity and take the fifth until it is realized that he's done, and there's nothing further. Perfectly legal, and get's his point across.

Perfectly above the law so to speak. He writes a report commissioned by the American people full of his decisions and lack of decisions and yet doesn't feel like he owes it to the American people to elaborate. Before he took the job he should've be aware that most likely he'd be called to explain it in futher detail.....

It has nothing to do with what I believe. He's just not going to testify, he made that perfectly clear, and forcing him to testify would be a disaster for the left.

    It's not going to happen.

The Mueller Show is over, Johnny.

    Welcome to The Nancy Show.

All roads for both parties should've started with Mueller testifying. In the Republicans case to put a book end on the report and in the Democrats case Mueller should have been the first person to testify to make the investigation seem more legitimate and less partisan.

400 footnoted pages and that is my testimony says Mueller, now I'm done.

Couldn't blame him for taking the first stage out of town to parts unknown, he's probably damn sick of the report and the whole two year effort.

    Boring.

I don't think he needs to be subpoenaed. I think he can be convinced to come in voluntarily. I understand that everything he's going to say is in the report. But people aren't going to read the report. They are going to listen to him. And yesterday's statement shows that that is amazingly effective.

I think Mueller doesn't want to be required to testify under oath.

He wouldn't even take a single question after his press conference, and yet he's willingly going to subject himself to hours of grilling before a congressional panel?

    Keep dreaming.

Seems like a super transparent response lol. Do those 400 pages say when he learned their was no collusion? Do they explain why he undertook a flawed investigation, one where he couldn't charge the suspect? Do they explain why he didn't publicly turn that part of the investigation back to congress since they are the only ones who can actually do anything? Or specifically his thought processes on lack of indictments for the Trump tower meeting?

Most definitely. Mueller needs to be summoned, to explain, under oath, his reprehensible and weaselly comments from yesterday.

When pigs fly. Graham knows that if he calls Mueller to testify it will accomplish exactly what terrifies the White House. The truth will become public.

Are you kidding. The "left" wants Mueller to testify to make the truth public.

I believe Mueller will be invited to testify under oath. It probably will not be necessary to subpoena him. He will testify. Trump supporters are either totally obtuse or terrified Mueller will show. Mueller is held in highest regard in Washington. The Trumpets efforts to besmirch his spotless reputation will accomplish one thing - expose to the public who they are.

If those 400 pages said anything damning, The Dems would be using the report like a club to beat over Trump's head.

The fact that no Dem even so much wants to take a glance at the nearly-entirely unredacted copy tells you exactly what's in the report.

    A whole lotta nothing.

If that's true why hasn't Nadler pursued Mueller testimony much more vigorously?

No need. As the Trump Justice Department Special Counsel made clear, he exposed the evidence he was able to uncover, and it is the responsibility of others to use it and whatever other else they are able to develop, to pursue justice.

Of far greater consequence than petty, partisan concerns is protecting and defending the United States against further such perversions of the democratic process by hostile foreign forces.

And, of course, you don't see why a serious person like Mueller would take questions in a serious setting and not have journalists screaming out questions at him, right?

I don't know if he would or not. If he doesn't, he does need to be subpoenaed. But I think he'll understand why that's important.

All the more reason to have him testify right?
