For someone to believe that women should be punished, they would have to be VERY committed to a strict position, but Trump has changed his position on abortion more times than he has changed his underpants, so he can't be taken seriously. If he does genuinely believe that women should be punished, then he is a lone voice in the pro-life crowd.
