But were they arrested and jailed?

No they were not forced to breed. Some of them took matters into their own hands and succeeded in ending their pregnancy.

Largely because of the ABUSE of EMOTIVE terminology by those on the wrong side of the Law of the Land and women's rights.

Sure, it would be against the law to kill the life inside of a woman. Now, are you under the impression that women were charged when abortion was illegal in the past?

Sure. How does that change the fact that biology is the only thing which can force a pregnancy?

Do you know that if abortion is banned that means it's against the law?

If you don't understand this then explain why you think doing something that is banned(illegal) is NOT breaking the law...

Why do you insist women wouldn't be breaking the law if they have an illegal abortion ( commit an illegal act)...

What don't you get about the fact that doing something illegal is breaking the law???….it really is a very simple concept and one a judge would be happy to explain to you...If you're ever charged with a crime you won't get very far on your defense by claiming " The illegal act I did was not breaking the law" :)

The will of the people has consistently been shown to be that abortion should remain legal...….

You don't know much, do you?

The Supreme Court STRUCK DOWN laws prohibiting abortion - they didn't create laws legalizing it.
And abortion was legal in this country for 100 years from it's founding - so claiming it was the actions of the courts is misleading.
Also, there were states where abortion was LEGAL prior to the Roe v. Wade decision.

You can stomp your feet, but history is history.

Already answered. The illegal act is on the part of the abortionist. And it's yet ANOTHER dodge of my question!

So what you're trying to claim is that abortion is not illegal - it's only PERFORMING an abortion that is illegal.

Abortion is a crime in alabama but women are given a pass and only the abortion doctor is punished

No. It did not create new law. It erased existing law in most states.
And if you have problems with the way the Constitution is set up (with appointed Supreme Court Justices, not elected ones) then take it up with the Founding Fathers.

And if the abortion is self-induced? Remember the day after pill prevents a fertilized egg from doing it's baby thing.

No. The right to privacy was contained in the 14th Amendment - which was ratified by the States - not the Supreme Court, and that happened years before Roe v. Wade.
