Oh, George... now you want to play the "lowlier-than-thou" card? Naw, I'm neither a Republican "fat-cat", nor a Democrat "limousine-liberal". But, I worked for everything I have, and feel no 'guilt' about it whatsoever! So, I'm very middle-class, but I must admit, living in a gated community might sure have its benefits....
I've read depositions filed by some contractors who Trump never paid; basically stating "go ahead, file a lawsuit, I'll keep you tied up in court for the next 20 years!". For the contractor, it's not worth it financially to conduct a drawn out battle with a billionaire so they just accept the loss and walk away. Trump has saved so much money by using those tactics. Contrary to what you think, not all contractors are connected in NY, especially the smaller ones.
Naw, the FBI covered up for her on this uranium deal, much as it papered-over her breaking the laws concerning national security and classified information. "Politico"...? Well-known for its liberal bias, for years... Here, try to grasp the "story behind the story", and see how the FBI kept the REAL information from coming out: https://thehill.com/opinion/white-h...f-memos-about-russia-clintons-and-uranium-one BUT, you're right -- this has nothing to do with idiotic, wild-ass claims about Trump being "mentally ill". He's not -- although it's pretty obvious that he never went to "charm school". Whatever else the Left may say about him, he took $120 million and made a fortune estimated by Forbes at $3.1 billion. We should all be so "crazy" if that
Only when he could not get out of it. Ask the New. Yorkers in this forum. They hate his guts and that is because the know his history
I am sure there are New Yorkers who hate him, and some who don't. But they'd hate him whether he was dishonest or not. He is an unapologetically white Christian heterosexual male. What's not to hate?
But he could always get out of it by litigation. How were the ones he resisted different from the ones he paid. If you establish a pattern of defrauding your contractors, no one else will do business with you.
Throwing in the "white Christian heterosexual male" was intellectually dishonest on your part and only serves to reduce your credibility on this thread. Furthermore I don't think it's fair to say they hate him whether he is dishonest or not; some might dislike him based on his policy; others perhaps based on his lack of truthfulness with the public.
Nah, I'm pretty sure you know what I'm talking about. He is the embodiment of everything that isn't cool these days -- which of course doesn't prove that he did not stiff someone. But I'd like to see the evidence and hear the other side of the case. No one gets very far by cheating, and no one who doesn't like his politics or personality can be trusted to offer that information.
Here's a couple to whet your whistle: https://theweek.com/articles/783976/brief-history-trumps-smalltime-swindles https://www.usatoday.com/story/news...bills-republican-president-laswuits/85297274/ https://www.thenation.com/article/donald-trump-government-shutdown-screwing-workers/
Unbiased sources all. Thank you. But one of them at least had the decency to admit, "To be sure, Trump and his companies have prevailed in many legal disputes over missing payments, or reached settlements that cloud the terms reached by the parties." Naturally I had to read to near the end of the article to find that.
Soooooooo Everyone I don’t like is biased? Use Occam’s razor - either Trump is an honest business man who never lies or thousands of investigative reporters worldwide are wrong about him being a lying ******** of a conman
So true. I mean, everyone is entitled to their "opinion", BUT: Referring to Trump as an "Honest Businessman" is the same as... ...Referring to Hitler as a "Compassionate Rabbi"... It is what it is.:smh:
Ah, the sheer, overpowering wit and transcendent, stratospheric sense of humor revealed by Trump haters! It's so bright, the rest of us "need shades".... . "Dude! That was, like, SO FUNNY!"
I'm sorry to disagree with you, but I think Trump's mental problems are a lot deeper & more serious than you do. I think Trump's personal self-affection & inability to see what's good or bad for the country as something separate from himself, endangers national institutions that have been around since 1775. On top of my list is Trump's disdain for the free press & his constant attacks on them for any reporting that offends his sensitive ego--without regard as to its truthfulness, honesty or accuracy. The first thing any authoritarian-minded leader does to attain power in any country, is to sow the seeds of distrust for the press in the minds of the general population. Trump has been doing that since the beginning of his candidacy & throughout his Presidency. A free press is crucial for the protection of our individual freedoms. Once any leader persuades the people to distrust the press & rely on him, democracy & freedom are history. Another serious threat from Trump against America is his apparent success at transforming the Dept of Justice from serving the Constitution & the nation's laws, to serving him personally, as a leader. That is incredibly dangerous, for the DOJ essentially becomes Trump's personal police force against anyone who opposes him. Hitler had his Brownshirts first, then the SS later play that role in Germany prior to & during WWII. There are too many similarities here to ignore or feel comfortable with. Like the dictators of the 20th Century, Trump has been trying to move the legal system against his opponents in ways that offend the whole concept of personal freedom, or national democracy. More & more, Trump is becoming a visible threat to the U.S. as a free Republic.
Absolutely hilarious. Obama kicked out press reporters he didn't like. Holder claimed he was Obama's wingman. The TDS hysteria is really something to laugh about.
