Back during America's progressive era, progressives despised prostitutes and prostitution and immigrant women who were found turning tricks were deported.

Yes, but since the collective Left dedicated themselves to disparaging even the concept of cultural standards while promoting the most outrageous of political fads no matter what over the course of a great many decades . . . the lunatics are now in charge of the asylum.

First off, Trump rarely pays for anything at the time of service, so "hiring" is a loose definition here....

In the totalitarian state of California a child (Gavin Newsom) is in charge of looking after the Democratic children in the state legislature.

The latest issue of 17 teaches teen girls how to do anal sex. Lauren Chen discussed it on her channel.

Don't worry though, there has never been a generation of youth LESS interested in sex than this one. Teen pregnancy has plummeted and continues to do so. In my son's school, a few guys serviced the entire female population that was interested while the rest smoked pot and played video games. Can you imagine preferring a video game to a flesh and blood girl..... surreal.

Good for them! This generation should have real sex every now and then. Most of this new generation think sex involves a laptop, lotion and mom's basement

One of my cherished weaknesses in life is that I have always been addicted to females. No doubt in the future that trait alone will be cause to be put into prison.

I don't think they're advocating it as a main career option per se but more of a "side hustle".

Lots of these women are working two part-time jobs at the same time.

I can just see it now. It will be like Airbnb, Uber or Lyft. The new "sharing economy".

I have less of an issue with someone hiring "hookers" than I do with someone that forces themselves onto others or uses their position to elicit sex.....like Bill Clinton.

Most political leaders from both sides are guilty of such acts, anybody who doesn't believe this is a fool.

Once this is accepted behavior I have to wonder if any trade schools will be setup, if they will be gender neutral or gender specific and will certificates of completion be offered.

    I disagree.

Trump-Stormy was a business transaction. He had no power over her and compensated her for her participation.

Bill Clinton allegedly sexually harassed many women, including raping one. Allegations that would ruin a person today just on the claim it happened. BC even paid one of the accusers almost $1-million. There is a reason why consensual sex between a superior and an underling is still considered as sexual harassment. Even if Monica was 100% willing, it is still very inappropriate.

Sadly, I agree. I think it was Rose Kennedy (but I could be wrong) that said "Powerful men have powerful appetites". I don't think this is a good reason to condone their actions, but the hypocritical complaints about Trump hiring a hooker, while ignoring wore offenses is a bit disingenuous. When a man (or woman) hires a hooker, in my opinion, that is between the person and their spouse.

And you see no problem with a person that can make or break a person career and is in an authoritarian position having sexual relationship with their subordinate? Maybe you should work for Harvey Weinstein's defense team.

Good Lord Light, WTH happened to you? You used to post better than this. I dunno where you made a wrong turn but I used to see reasonable arguments from you, not "But Trump," all the time. And this IS a serious issue, at least to me considering the kids I have to deal with. I'll admit you're partly right considering the President, but wrong about which one. The one you should REALLY be mad at - is Bill Clinton. And to as a great a degree, the Legacy Media. No wait - the Legacy Media IS the biggest problem.

I mean, let's look at two examples back then not that many years apart: Pee-Wee Herman - and Bill Clinton. Good ol' Pee-Wee get's caught weenie-wagging at a porno house - and the press castigates him for it. He makes very few (if any) excuses. His own lawyer says his career is dead. BUT ... it turns out a significant part of the hoi polloi think the press gave him a raw deal:

Then you get to Bill Clinton. Now there you have the Legacy Media going all-out for him. You got talking heads saying hey, the economy is doing all right, why should we be prudes about his private life? And then you have his legal trickery - and let's face it, it WAS - what with his "It depends on what the meaning of is, is" and "Oral sex - it isn't legally sex." Now THAT'S when you ran into trouble, because -

    Or -

Meanwhile when the Pee-Wee scandal started, there were far more kids - at least where I was teaching (well, long-term subbing) who looked down on him. I remember hearing a couple kids around the corner when I was doing recess duty where one girl told a boy "Pee-Wee was in an XXX movie! That means it's badbadbad!" "What if he was in a movie with ten X's?" "Then it would be badbadbadbadbadbadbadbadbadbad!" Which is funny, sure - but a few years later when I was still a newb teacher at the time and had to deal with Bill and his antics when I had to teach sex-ed? Oh you better believe that came up - and the kids then were more accepting of it. They'd learned from Bill. They's seen it defended rather than condemned. And those kids are now adults and have kids of their own and I'm teaching some of them now. And I've said it before: Once you normalize this kind of stuff - as opposed to I dunno, a ways back when JFK's affairs were well hidden - but once you argue that affairs are okay and once you get away with it, there's no putting the genie back in the bottle. Attitudes changed between Pee-Wee and Bubba - and it was the press that was in larger part guilty of those changes by normalizing them. The willingness to accept it by the public may always have been there, but public admittance of such is the result of Trump? He's the result, not the cause.

We definitely need GOOD role models now. But there's no one out there of any political stripe at the moment. The Church? Gay priests assaulting kids and hiding the evidence - no help there. Entertainers? Gimme a break. Politicians? Yeah, good luck finding ONE role model. Basically, our kids are as screwed as Lindsay Lohan when it comes to finding ONE person to look up to - especially when you have huge swathes of them looking up to the WRONG people. I had kids that think of Chris Brown and Kanye West as their heroes. And articles like this that normalize something we DON'T want our kids getting into - ugh. It's like nobody learned. The press builds up and idolizes evil and deviant behavior. The only way there's gonna be any change is if the Media changes. And that ain't gonna happen.

And Daniel - for God's sake, start posting actual debate again. Please.

    Stale shtick is stale.

I have no issue with adultery....unless it is my wife. I see it as an issue between the married couple. I do have an issue with a person using their position of authority over another person...even if it was consensual.

Personal attacks? I did not attack you personally. I just figured that since you do not see a problem with someone using their position of authority to entice sex on a subordinate that you would be supportive of Harvey....after all, he is claiming that all the "couch interviews" were consensual. Even many of those that are now claiming sexual harassment/rape are saying that they consented in order to advance their careers.

Republicans are pretty OK with prostitution these days. It used to be guys who cheated on their wives were looked down on.
