If you mean "child separation" where children are protected from child predators, I really don's see the "sick irony". In May of this year Houston public libraries cancelled it's transgender book reading program after being informed that 2 of it's drag queens were registered child sex offenders. I don't know if NY libraries are vetting their drag queens, but I do know that sexual predators are taking advantage of the new openess our schools and public libraries have towards sexual identity, and inclusiveness. There's some sick irony in inviting sexual predators to interact with children placed in your care.

I'm reminded of an interview I heard a few days ago of a fruitcake who is also apparently an accredited Mental Health Professional, about a condition known as Body Integrity Identity Disorder, in which the patient becomes convinced his or her perfectly good arm/leg/whatever doesn't belong there. The interviewers, neither of whom is a social conservative by any stretch, could not contain their incredulity when the aforementioned sociopath assured them in a professorial tone that amputation can indeed be a legitimate treatment.
